Loco-Bank placed the web portal in the distributed cluster

On September 25, 2014 the ActiveCloud by Softline company announced project completion on transfer of the Loco Bank web portal in "cloud".

Project Tasks

Active development of bank services raises a role of online resources in operational informing clients and the order of banking services that, in turn, raises a web portal role in work and development of bank and leads to need of review of the existing model for benefit of use of modern cloud computing.

Before Loco-Bank used only own IT equipment, but over time load of servers increased and the hardware ceased to cope with it.

The team of IT specialists "Loco Bank" made the decision to transfer the website to "cloud". The main premises of the project, in addition to upgrade of the existing infrastructure of the web portal, steel creation of the failsafe solution for a reliable hosting of the website of bank and also reorganization of the mechanism of content management.

Loco-Bank stopped the choice on ActiveCloud by Softline company, proceeding from an optimal ratio the offered provider of the price and quality of the provided services and to existence of SLA confirmed with financial guarantees. An opportunity to provide a web portal clustering on geographically distributed platforms for its guaranteed reliable work became a decisive factor of the choice of provider for "Loco Bank".

The agreement packet also includes the round-the-clock support of work of the website with participation the selected technical manager, automatic monitoring and management by means of the automated panel.

Project Progress

Within the project specialists of ActiveCloud provided a pool of virtual cloud servers - actually data are stored on several servers of provider in the territory of the Russian Federation and Europe. Thus, Loco-Bank got rid of need to build and service own physical infrastructure. Besides, the bank pays only the used capacities which can be expanded further without additional costs on the hardware.

In addition to information storage the ActiveCloud company provided its integrity and backup. Also the main goal of the project is achieved - to receive the failsafe web portal in "cloud": in case of refusal the main platform inquiries of visitors are sent to the Russian Federation on infrastructure of reserve DPC in Europe.

Project Results
