As part of the exhibition VUZPROMEXPO OJSC NPP Istok Shokin (part of the Roselectronics holding of Rostec State Corporation), together with the Russian Academy of Sciences of the Russian Federation, presented in September 2014 the production of heat removing elements from polycrystalline diamond. This unique development will solve import substitution issues when creating active components of electronic equipment products.
"The new production will make it possible to solve the priority tasks of socio-economic development and ensuring the national security of the Russian Federation. This technology will make it possible to improve modern samples of electronics, including reducing its weight and size, "said Andrei Zverev, General Director of Roselectronics OJSC.
This production was developed as part of the implementation of the Federal Target Program "Development of the Electronic Component Base and Radio Electronics" for 2008-2015. " A new technology for laser cutting of polycrystalline diamond plates, new dielectric materials and polycrystalline diamond substrates with increased thermal conductivity and electrical conductivity have been introduced. Technical result of invention consists in increase of reliability and output power of semiconductor device due to reduction of internal voltages and increase of efficiency of heat removal.
The use of diamond substrates as an insulating heat sink will increase the power characteristics of the devices due to a decrease in thermal resistance and an increase in the limit current and dissipated power by 2 times. Polycrystalline diamond also has its advantages: the ability to grow products of a given shape and large size, high reproducibility of physical parameters due to careful control of the growth conditions and purity of the gases used.
Also at the exhibition, the Roselectronics holding presented the microwave technology technological platform. It presented inspection and inspection complexes, flaw detectors and a control and measuring device for the oil and gas industry, and other innovative samples of enterprises of OJSC NII SVT named after S.A. Wekshinsky, OJSC Ferrit-Domen, OJSC NPP Istok named after A.I. Shokin, OJSC NPP Contact, OJSC ONIIP, FSUE "NPP." Such as
