Epicor keeps development of production of the Lithuanian producer

UAB Stansefabrikken was founded in 2003. UAB Stansefabrikken is the manufacturing enterprise belonging to the Norwegian company STAFA Industrier AS. UAB Stansefabrikken is engaged in processing of sheet metal and production from sheet metal. Production process is based on the modern equipment and the latest technologies. A part of products of the company represents finished products which are ready to be shipped to retail stores. Also the company offers services of subcontractors. More than 200 people work at the enterprise. Among priorities of the company there are a high quality and satisfaction of needs of clients.

Stansefabrikken specializes in execution of works on sheet metal, especially in production of small and average batches, on subcontractings. The company delivers production and logistic solutions for clients, controlling all process, from materials and production operations before finished product output.

"We deliver products to clients, working in different areas: consumer electronics, DPC equipment (server cabinets and systems for marking and laying of cables), electric equipment cabinets, mailboxes, parts for aviation engines, etc. One of the most difficult tasks for us is the satisfaction of high and strict requirements of each certain client. Here time for accomplishment of new orders and inventory management enters", – Dainius Maciulis, the manager by efficiency of Stansefabrikken says.

These investments increased the available competitive advantage of the company and support it in its aspiration to become one of the leading service providers.

Turnover of UAB Stansefabrikken grew from 14.91 million euros in 2011 to 16.33 million euros in 2012. This year expected turnover will make 17.47 million euros.
Ambitious plans of the company for increasing production became the main reason for which the decision on implementation of effective solution for resource management of the enterprise (ERP) was made. In addition to the software of the company it was also required to increase professionalism of personnel and to implement the planned business processes.

Maciulis explained: "The purpose was not only to increase efficiency, but also to help to strengthen our processes. We tested some other systems, but it turned out that they have no flexibility for setup. Epicor had advantages which our former system did not have and also at other suppliers. The Epicor company presented very good solution for creation of key performance indicators for control and an analysis system of management".

The project is started

Now 25 employees of Stansefabrikken use Epicor ERP for work with production processes and material management. Modules of financial management were implemented in January, at the same time the company is going to begin to use functionality of sales management in the near future.

"From the first day of start of Epicor ERP the command on purchases began to use the functionality applicable to their activity. The command on sales was prepared, and we implemented functions of control of products and change management. Other advantage of a new system is the functionality on business process management (BPM)", – Maciulis says.

According to him, within three months of work of a new system the staff of the company noted that a system provides ease of creation of rules, the help to users at introduction of data and also control of the main data fields.

Valuable addition to process management

Stansefabrikken claims that they with pleasure increase the used functionality, and users add new features daily. According to Maciulis, advanced material management will become for them new valuable addition.
