2022: Start of Corporate Conflict

At the end of November 2022, it became known about the corporate conflict that began with the manufacturer of household appliances Redmond. Co-owner of the group Andrei Sinyavin is trying to challenge his removal from management of the company, as well as the termination of the license agreement with the Innovation Solutions company controlled by him for the use of the Redmond trademark.

The entrepreneur, as Vedomosti writes, filed seven lawsuits against Redmond structures with the Arbitration Court of St. Petersburg and the Leningrad Region. The defendant, in turn, filed a response lawsuit against Sinyavin's company for 10.7 million rubles, follows from the file of cases.

Redmond has a corporate conflict

Redmond said that indeed in August 2022 they chose a new leader at an extraordinary meeting. At the same time, Sinyavin was not present at the meeting, since he has been living abroad for several years - in Russia he is wanted in the case of tax evasion. Sinyavin was put on the wanted list in 2017.

In a corporate dispute, the court supported Sinyavin and on October 26, 2022 declared illegal the results of the August general meeting of shareholders. The proceedings on the termination of the license agreement were suspended until the end of the courts on the claim for the removal of the entrepreneur from the post of general director.

The license agreement with Sinyavin's structure was terminated due to violations of its terms, Redmond added, but did not disclose details. Lawyers interviewed by the newspaper explain that the decision to terminate the agreement deprives Innovative Solutions of the opportunity to trade and advertise goods. At the same time, the court may take the side of the entrepreneur if he proves that when the contract was terminated, they violated the norms of the law and the agreement itself.

Redmond makes vacuum cleaners, irons, slow cookers and other small appliances under its own brand. In Russia, the company has almost 60 stores, including four, operating under a franchise (by November 2022).^[1]
