MegaFon implemented communication services for the Transbaikal edge institute of advanced training

The MegaFon company signed the public contract with the Ministry of Education, science and youth policy of Zabaykalsky Krai on rendering services in the organization and providing communication channels between 223 comprehensive schools in 27 areas of the region and the data processing center (DPC) of the Transbaikal edge institute of advanced training of educators. The victory in an auction to the operator was ensured by the advantageous tariff offer and existence of the developed communications infrastructure in the region.

Under the terms of the contract the operator became service provider of Internet access for 223 comprehensive schools in villages and settlements of 27 areas of Zabaykalsky Krai. At the same time at 194 schools for Internet access the data network organized on satellite VSAT technology (Very Small Aperture Terminal) is used. It is about such remote localities as Over the river, Central Olyokma and Moklakan of the Tungiro-Olekminsky area; Red Yar, Ust-Karenga, Nizhny Novgorod Camp, Kyker and Yumurchen of Tungokochensky district; Rolling, Dono, Average Borzya, the Drill, Verkhny-Kalgukan Kalgan and Ikabya Kalarskogo of areas; Ithaca, Chaldonka and Dzhelonda of Mogochinsky district; Menza, Konkino, Korotkovo, Baykhor and Upper Shergoldzhin of Krasnochikoysky district and many others. Now pupils of schools in these villages and settlements unavailable to land infrastructure of telecom operators, can use information resources of a global network on an equal basis with the city peers.

Also for ensuring activity of a regional node of content filtering and uninterrupted rendering service in the organization and providing communication channels between schools and DPC in Chita MegaFon in addition laid a communication fiber line to a data processing center.
