On October 22, 2014 the Dell company announced release of the firewall of the next generation of Dell SuperMassive 9800 Next-Generation Firewall (NGFW).

The new model is the most powerful in a product line of Dell SuperMassive 9000 Series. By means of deep inspection of network packets, the new firewall will help customers to reduce capital costs, costs on acquisition of new racks, the electric power and cooling in the future.

The Dell SuperMassive 9800 firewall is available to the order through official partners of the company. Estimated price is $55 thousand.

Being the most powerful model in a product line of Dell SuperMassive 9000 Series, the new SuperMassive 9800 firewall provides to the companies of medium business and large enterprises the same level of protection and performance, as firewalls of the flagman Dell SuperMassive 10000 Series series. In new model the technologies of performance improvement borrowed a flagman series, at the same time operating costs and total cost of ownership (Total Cost of Ownership — TCO) of the new device are used below.

Software of GMS 8.0 it is also equipped with a new feature of the automation providing correct changes the politician by performing procedures of setup, comparison, assessment, check and approval the politician before their implementation.
