Mind implemented VKS in Clinic of coloproctology and low-invasive surgery of the First MGMU of I.M. Sechenov

Within^[1] continuous broadcastings from operational leading surgical clinics of Russia in different parts of the country will be organized: from St. Petersburg to Vladivostok.

Project Progress

Operational halls of clinics were united in a single broadcasting network using the hardware and software system developed by Mind company. The main of the ideas of the project is transfer of the video image and comments of surgeons with a possibility of viewing transactions from any place in the world where there is a connection to the Internet. Using the VKS system creation of a uniform broadcasting resource for multistream broadcast of surgeries, lectures and conferences between several medical institutions of the country is planned.

Opening of the project was carried out at a meeting of council of rectors of medical schools of Russia which took place under the direction of the First MGMU to them I.M. Sechenova with participation of the Minister of health and social development Veronika Skvortsova. During the presentation the minister could participate in the surgical online conference organized based on Mind technology in real time.

Result

The clinic of coloproctology holds an annual largest specialized conference — the Russian school of kolorektalny surgery on which more than 1000 surgeons from different regions of Russia, the CIS countries, Europe and America gather. The main focus of an action is broadcasting from the operating room of the surgical procedures performed by foreign and Russian experts in the field of kolorektalny surgery. The decision of Mind company which allows simply and without existence of the expensive equipment to implement the solution of so difficult tasks is also applied to technical implementation of two-way video conference. Now the broadcasting Ruswebsurg.ru project created under the leadership of the rector of the First MGMU of I.M. Sechenova Petra Glybotschko continues to develop, the increasing number of clinics is connected to a system for exchange of experience and demonstration of the performed operations.

"Russia is the huge country, and, despite long distances, we should support the high level of training of surgeons in all its regions. Respectively, our task consists in training of the practicing doctors, and remote educational technologies considerably facilitate this task — the director of clinic of coloproctology and low-invasive surgery of the First MGMU of I.M. Sechenov, the prof. Pyotr Tsarkov says. In training of the surgeon the main attention is paid to work in the operating room, and use of the solution of Mind company allows to simplify this task".
