Lenel Systems: Prism for creation of IP video surveillance systems

The Lenel Systems company released in the fall of 2014 the Prism software product for creation of IP video surveillance systems of small, large and geographically distributed objects. New software can independently work or as a part of the integrated OnGuard security system. It has the intuitive interface of the user and can service unlimited number of analog/IP-cameras, video recorders, including Lenel NVR, and other devices of different producers. Besides, Prism gives opportunities for flexible building of a video surveillance system with the minimum costs and provides in a standard configuration support of functions of watching video, archiving, reproduction written audio-/video this and different search algorithms.

Existence of three initial system configurations of Prism — Standard, Professional and Enterprise, allows to pick up the optimal platform under the current requirements of security video surveillance with a possibility of upgrade to the next version. At the same time the video surveillance system based on Prism Standard is expected service up to 32 cameras, and versions of Professional and Enterprise have no restrictions on number of the supported channels. Moreover, Prism Professional/Enterprise can work not only independently, but also as a program superstructure of an end-to-end system of security of Lenel OnGuard or to be integrated with the systems of physical security of buildings and constructions of other producers, including access control, the security and fire warning.

Being based on the open platform, the Lenel Prism system allows to administer hundreds of cameras, video recorders and other devices of video surveillance of different brands, including Arecont Vision, AXIS, Bosch, Cisco, JVC, Pelco, etc. Its intuitive user interface, multifunctionality and also flexibility of building of a system by simple connection of the new equipment for satisfaction of the changing customer needs belongs to other advantages of software of Prism. On the Prism platform the universal video surveillance system for the enterprises of different spheres of economy, whether it be large corporations and the companies, the government or commercial structures, etc. can be organized.

For creation of a core of a video surveillance system under control of Prism software the producer recommends to purchase the corporate NVR video recorders which support data transfer protocols of RTP/RTSP and differ in high performance. When using a combination of software of Prism and NVR of Lenel company the owner receives the tested and optimized hardware and software solution and as result — steadily functioning IP video surveillance system. An additional argument for benefit of such tandem is that the system of licensing of basic software Prism "covers" an unlimited number of the cameras connected to Lenel NVR.

Important feature of all versions of Prism is existence of processing system of alarms and the video analysis of events on object of video surveillance in real time and also support of functions of automatic detection of moving objects, registration of incidents and unauthorized actions.
