Meucci Group DEPO Storage

On November 13, 2014 DEPO Computers created the cloud IT infrastructure for MEUCCI Group company based on the failsafe DEPO server hardware and the software of Microsoft.

Goals and Objectives

The MEUCCI Group company at the time of start of the project had a classical server framework, at the same time the capacity of the being available equipment did not allow to organize work of business applications with desirable high-speed performance. It was necessary to carry out upgrade of the existing IT infrastructure for the purpose of performance improvement and fault tolerance of business processes. Besides, it was necessary to prepare infrastructure for deployment of the productive failsafe database management system (DMS), necessary for ERP system implementation.

Project Progress

According to requirements of the customer specialists of DEPO Computers booked audit of the existing IT infrastructure and analyzed requirements to DBMS and the ERP system, taking into account smooth operation of users. Based on audit infrastructure for implementation of a private cloud based on a line of the standard solutions DEPO Cloud Systems developed in Department of system integration of DEPO Computers for rapid implementation of technologies of a private cloud was designed. Server components of the Russian production – the failsafe DEPO Storm 3350V2 servers and a high-performance storage system of DEPO Storage 4624G2 became a basis of a system. Virtualization of computing powers is provided to software of Microsoft Windows Server 2012 of R2 Datacenter Edition, and for the solution of business challenges Microsoft SQL Server 2012 database management system is unrolled.

Result

Specialists of DEPO Computers carried out a full range of works on a commissioning and solution integration to MEUCCI Group IT infrastructure. According to the results of acceptance tests, the computer system showed a full compliance to requirements of the customer and was accepted in operation.

Transition to a private cloud provided to MEUCCI company high availability of business applications. Risks of financial losses from equipment downtimes are prevented, the efficiency of users is increased. Besides, activity of IT service is optimized. The solution DEPO Computers gave to the customer an opportunity of expanded management of databases, being a basis of effective functioning of the ERP system.

During project implementation the high level of technical competences, responsibility and professionalism is shown. The works were completed even ahead of schedule. Thanks to DEPO Computers company we have highly reliable IT infrastructure which is capable to meet high requirements of our business for performance and fault tolerance.

Transition to a private cloud provided high availability and performance of the ERP system of the customer which is a basis of business processes in the company. Thanks to this MEUCCI Group project increased efficiency of business processes and prevented risks of the financial losses connected with idle times of crucial business applications.
