2014: Criminal case after the death of the person in road accident

In November, 2014 the prosecutor's office of the Oryol region announced the approval of the indictment on criminal case against Mikhail Sakhnenko. He is accused of commission of the crime provided by Part 3 of Article 264 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (the violation by the person who is driving the car, traffic regulations, which entailed the death of the person by negligence).

According to charge, in July, 2014 Sakhnenko, driving the Nissan Qashqai car, in traffic offense, allowed zoom-in on the pedestrian passing the highway on non-regulated with the traffic light to the intersection.

Crime of which commission accuse Mikhail Sakhnenko is punished by forced labor for a period of up to four years with deprivation of the right to manage the vehicle for a period of up to three years or imprisonment for a period of up to five years with deprivation of the right to manage the vehicle for a period of up to three years.
