The institute of atomic energy of Kurchatov implements IT means of mobile interaction

On November 20, 2014 the Aflex Distribution company announced project implementation of product introduction 2X RAS in infrastructure of Research Center Kurchatov Institute.

Project Tasks

Virtual environment of strategically important state object as Research Center Kurchatov Institute needs reliable services and solutions in the field of data storage, their protection and management. They should provide the high speed of recovery of information, risk minimization of its loss and complex control of IT infrastructure.

Acting by the beginning of the IT infrastructure project not fully provided requirements of tasks of research center. In particular, function of web access worked inefficiently as supported only IE. In the solution working under the RDP protocol there were no client applications under Android and iOS.

The institute felt need for access facilities of employees to corporate resources from mobile devices on Android and iOS. Necessary applications were among: workflow system EOS GROUP 1C and "Consultant +". The additional requirement to the solution - existence of advantage in the price, in comparison with the products used earlier.

Project Progress

A choice is made for benefit of 2X RAS. Research Center was attracted by existence in a software package of a free component to balancing of loading – 2X of Load Balancer.

Aflex Distribution is selected by Kurchatov Institute as the IT partner.

During the project specialists of Aflex Distribution, in addition to delivery, render the help in setup of a software package, consultations on transition to the new version of software are held.

Project Results

"Transition on 2X left positive impressions. Existence of functionality of delivery of applications and balancing of loading became its main advantage. Further we are going to use software package 2X Remote Application Server for the solution of a wide range of tasks of delivery of the specialized Windows applications to different devices of employees and also for balancing of loading between servers in our infrastructure", - Victor Artamonov, the deputy head of department of IT of Research Center Kurchatov Institute noted.
