Necessary condition of ensuring regular gas supply is existence of operating control and management of gas consumption in the region, forecasting and prevention of critical conditions. Achievement of this purpose is impossible without complete and timely technology information about gas network, its current status and the forecast of her behavior for the near future. The software package of a dispatcher station of regional gas company (ASKUG RGK) is designed to help with it to personnel of operational and dispatching service and other divisions occupied with supply control of gas to the region.

DP ASKUG RGK implements the following basic functions:

  • collecting of regime technological parameters from metering stations of parameters and gas quality;
  • storage of process parameters in the database of real time with a given accuracy and without restriction of storage life;
  • control of parameters of deliverable gas with formation of abnormal messages at violation of the set borders.
  • calculation of forecast volumes of gas consumption both for certain consumers, and for all region in general;
  • formation and display of technology symbolic circuits, diagrams, tables and reports on objects of gas network
  • providing data for external information systems.

As the platform for creation of a system of dispatching control the specialized software product intended for maintaining a change history of enterprise-wide technological parameters – "PI System" of OSISoft company is used.

PI System differs in opportunities for data collection, an effective technique of their storage, high rates of reliability, a set of the application software and flexible configuration of the user interface. With its help it is possible to create as small, local, and powerful storages of production data of all enterprise.

For collecting of the complete information about a status of gas network of the region in ASKUG data acquisition on supply of gas through GRS from a supervisory control system of gas transmission company, data on parameters of gas consumption of industrial enterprises from the system of telemechanics based on controllers of Motorola and from a control system of pressure of the gas distribution network is organized. Calculation of forecast values of an instant expense and daily gas consumption based on accumulated information both for certain consumers, and for the region in general is in addition implemented.

The complete information about a current status of gas network and also calculated value of forecast parameters of gas consumption allows to manage quickly gas supply, beforehand warning consumers about need of release of gas and transition to reserve fuel. In urgent cases perhaps automatic restriction of consumers by parameter setting of maximum flow of gas on a restriction node. After input by the manager in the system of parameters of restriction the controller of telemechanics receives the set value of a gas rate and regulates opening of the crane so that the current expense did not exceed the set values.

Operation of a supervisory control system in Gazprom Mezhregiongaz of Ivanovo LLC proved high efficiency of the solutions put in it and allowed to lift to new level operating control and supply management of gas in the region.
