On November 21, 2014 it became known of use SCADA- a packet PcVue on naval shipyard for nuclear submarines Pearl Harbor. The implementation project was implemented by the company Triton Marine Construction Corp (USA).
Project Results
The PcVue system is operated on naval shipyard of Pearl Harbor for control of flooding and dehydration of dry docks with increased requirements on security.
Dry docks in Pearl Harbor are used generally for repair and service of nuclear submarines. Each dry dock consists of the narrow pool and has access to deep water via the gateway with a caisson. For example, dry dock No. 1 has the sizes - 305 m in length, 35 m in width in the lower part, and 42 m - in an upper part, depth of 10 m. Run of the ship in dry dock – the difficult technical process requiring ensuring high reliability and effective management of all equipment involved in work (for example, vertical turbine pumps, electric drives, latches) and the guaranteed control of the movement of water.
Operational management is exercised by means of SCADA PcVue. The project began in 2012 and is step by step implemented by the company Triton Marine Construction Corp.
The relevance of a task strongly increased after a bad experience of use of others of SCADA systems on an object. Result of trial operation of PcVue – a full compliance to requirements of the customer in terms of security and management efficiency. An important good point from PcVue implementation - the graphical interface of the operator in symbolic circuits of PcVue is similar to the previous system, it eliminates need of carrying out recertification of operators.
