The large-scale BI project in Rostec covered hundreds of the enterprises

The company "Forecast" created for Rostec an information and analytical system of collecting and formation of the management reporting of the enterprises based on BI- platforms Prognoz Platform, the adviser to the CEO of state corporation told in November, 2014 at the Prognoz Day conference Sergey Rogov.

According to him, as of November about 350 enterprises relating to Rostec, and the planned number of the connected enterprises and the organizations - about 600 are connected to a system. Is later in department of communication and information of Rostec told TAdviser that plans for development and a scope in 600 enterprises are not defined.

The information and analytical system provides collecting, delivery, verification and control of completeness of data of primary reporting from the enterprises and the organizations of Rostec, the centralized data storage of primary reporting and their analysis for the purpose of acceptance of management decisions on the current and perspective activity.

In addition, a system allows to perform modeling of situations by the principle "What will be if.?" on the basis of the saved-up data of primary reporting, modeling and visual assessment of accessibility of key strategic indicators of activity of the enterprises and organizations of Rostec, providing the reporting under the set forms and with the set frequency.

System architecture

For creation of a system such Prognoz Platform components as analytical panels, the designer of reports, the express analysis, modeling and forecasting, the designer of the data warehouse, administration and information security and also the Prognoz Platform server were used. Sergey Rogov told that the Russian origin was one of product requirements based on which a system had to be created.

Earlier automated means of processing and data analysis of primary reporting and formation of the summary analytical reporting in Rostec were absent. Because of it process of collecting and formation of the management reporting in state corporation was very labor-consuming, in view of development of its organization structure and versatility of activity of the holdings and the enterprises which are its part. Besides, according to Sergey Rogov, insufficiency of means of check of correctness and completeness of primary reporting data arriving from holdings and the enterprises took place.

The adviser to the CEO of Rostec noted that with the advent of an automated system the speed of work of specialists of the enterprises and holdings considerably increased during the work with the reporting and the transparency of all chain of business processes from data collection before providing to the management the analytical reporting and the forecast of performance indicators of activity of the enterprises was provided.
