Technoserv: Comprehensive examination of information systems and IT infrastructure of Rosgranitsa is conducted

On December 9, 2014 Federal Agency for the Development of the State Border Facilities (Rosgranitsa) announced completion of comprehensive examination of information systems and IT infrastructures of central office of department. An independent research, together with the company "Technoserv", the consortium of system integrators "Inforcer", "Zashchitainfo trance" and "Jet Infosystems" carried out.

"According to the Plan of activity of Rosgranitsa for 2013-2018 the Agency is faced by problems of optimization of a system of check points through frontier of the Russian Federation, creating favorable conditions for conducting foreign economic activity, ensuring comfort of citizens at intersection of frontier and also creation of an effective management system for property of check points. In the medium term increase in capacity of a system of check points not less than for 30% is expected. In many respects these problems will be solved due to global application of information technologies, - Georgy Doyenin, the head of information technology of Rosgranitsa commented on news. - Therefore for development of plans for effective development of our IT ecosystem and optimal expenditure of budgetary funds comprehensive examination of IT infrastructure and the services rendered by it in which we involved consortium of independent system integrators that allowed to receive objective assessment made and a professional view of the selected forms methods for the solution of assigned tasks was conducted".

Examination was conducted on all IT complex of department: to automated information systems, computing and network infrastructure, engineering infrastructure of DPC and storage systems, subsystems of information security and integrity of an IT circuit. Also processes of technical support of IT infrastructure were tested. Works were continued more than two months.

The consortium conducted examination of 19 applied and technology systems of Rosgranitsa, including key specialized: The federal state information system "Database of Check Points", the Electronic queue system, Uchet osnovnykh fondov (State-owned federal state Institution Rosgranstroy), the system of integration with interdepartmental electronic document management.

The complex of recommendations about development and upgrade of information systems and IT infrastructure of Rosgranitsa which concern all components of an IT complex, information security and also process optimization of management and service network and IT infrastructure is as a result received.

"The document is directed to creation of uniform complex approach to the solution of IT tasks of Rosgranitsa and development of infrastructure of the agency, expense optimization due to use of the existing infrastructure, increase in transparency and effective management of an IT complex", – Yakimets Evgeny, the director noted department of programs of security of Technoserv company.
