Development of the SAP BI project in the CU of Profmaks
In 2014 within maintenance of a system of the analytical reporting of the retail chain stores (RCS) of "PROFMAX" by specialists of Informatsionnye tekhnologii i servisy LLC works on improvement of the existing reports and development of new reports on control of drains, the analysis of cross-sellings and turnover of goods were carried out
The analytical information system of a class, powerful and constantly adaptive under current market condition is necessary for maintenance of effective activity of regional retail chain stores of sale of clothes and footwear in the conditions of fierce competition with federal and international networks Business Intelligence (BI). Within works on development of a BI system of the CU of "PROFMAX" optimization and adjustment of the existing reports was executed, new reports are implemented: the report of Cross-selling allows to carry out and visualize the analysis jointly of the sold goods which is in turn used for optimal placement of goods in a trading floor and carrying out personnel training of shops for increase in efficiency of sales; the report Trade inventory allows management of the CU to carry out the analysis of a remaining balance of goods on all shops and warehouses of network by specific articles by all tsveto-sizes and tsveto-models; the report "Turnover of goods" displays dynamics of warehouse stocks for the selected period taking into account retail prices. Reports are used by management of the CU for adoption of operational solutions on movement and placement of goods, to pricing, the organization of actions and advertizing campaigns for decrease in a remaining balance of illiquid positions.
Solution description
In 2013 the CU of "PROFMAX" started the information management system sales on the SAP for Retail platform. The data warehouse on the SAP BW platform was in addition organized and the analytical reporting using the SAP BusinessObjects tools is implemented. In 2014 the CU of "PROFMAX" selected "Information Technologies and Services" company for maintenance of a system of the analytical reporting. Within work by "Information Technologies and Services" company operated were partially upgraded and new reports are developed by means of SAP BusinessObjects. The BEx-reports intended for strategic analysis and support of decision making process were in addition offered and implemented. The employees having appropriate authority of access can analyze historical and up-to-date data with the different detail level and also use the SAP DataMining tools for calculation of parameters of cross-sellings (sross-selling): Support – for determination of the driver of a flow of buyers; Confidence – for optimization of placement and revenue, allows to determine elasticity of demand for a joint product by the driver; Lift – for identification of nonrandom pairs.
The analytical reports developed by means of SAP BEx provide to the staff of the CU tools for optimization of a goods turnover, planning of marketing efforts and a demand forecast on joint products in usual it the MS Excel environment.
