State teleradio fund (DPC)

"Public Foundation of Television and Radio Programs" federal state institution – one of the world's largest archives of film video records, sound recordings and photographic materials. Formation of archive began in the 30th years and continues to this day – the huge information volume which is stored on carriers of different types during this time collected.

According to the order of the President of Russia the State teleradio fund implements the grandiose project on digitization and recovery of the archive numbering about 1.5 million units of storage. For upgrade of IT infrastructure which was required for the successful solution of this task the State teleradio fund addressed to DEPO Computers company.

Within the project of upgrade it was necessary to solve a number of problems: updating of the computer park of the company, creation of a data processing center with the computing power sufficient for digitization of a large number of video records, formation of the single network of data storage allowing to ensure effective joint work of employees, safe data transmission between offices and safe delivery of media content to customers.

Specialists of DEPO Computers studied requirements of the customer, conducted examination of the available infrastructure and prepared the offer on delivery hardware and the software and also the package of measures for upgrade of an information system allowing to solve assigned tasks. The designed hardware-software solution gives the chance to significantly simplify and accelerate accomplishment of business processes of the company, without effort to scale IT infrastructure in the future, if necessary to connect alternative channels of communication, to increase the number of users of a system.

The most part of the materials which are stored in archives of State teleradio fund represents subjects of copyright, and information transferred between employees often has confidential character and is a trade secret. Therefore for communication between offices and remote access of employees to archive the VPN channels guaranteeing sufficient protection of transmitted data were configured, and for access to the central storage the corresponding security policies are configured. For additional confidential data protection at offices GTRF the system of the centralized control of USB ports and optical drives of computers was implemented.

Thanks to implementation of the complete solution proposed by DEPO Computers based on three platforms GTRF the uniform distributed infrastructure of processing and data storage, providing secure access to the centralized storage of materials and also effective delivery of media content to customers of State teleradio fund was constructed.
