"We looked for in the market the optimal solution including servers, DWH, an infrastructure component and the software which would allow to create a failover computing cluster for users of an ERP system. The audit booked by specialists of DEPO Computers revealed that owing to heterogeneity of the services placed on outdated servers to us it is more reasonable to virtualize, taking into account future scenarios of development, resources that will allow to lower TSO of IT systems, to consolidate capacities, to reduce energy consumption. The proposed solution allowed to lay the foundation for optimal use of computing powers of IT infrastructure of holding when depending on load of a virtualization farm in a system services, critical to resources, dominate, and noncritical fade into the background." Gubanov Sergey, head of information technology of Dmitrovsky Vegetables agroholding.

The Dmitrovsky Vegetables agroholding is the innovation enterprise of agro-industrial complex of the Moscow region integrating a number of the large companies and providing a full stroke of production of vegetables: cultivation, processing, storage and delivery to customers. The range of agroholding contains more than 30 types of vegetable cultures, and among clients – the largest retail chain stores of the central region. The staff of the company contains 400–450 constants and to 250 seasonal workers.

Creation of the reliable full-function information system allowing to provide data protection, continuous access to necessary information and also smooth operation of all services and applications for effective work of employees.

The agroholding represents group which includes manufacturing enterprises, the enterprises for processing and storage of products, the supplier of agricultural machinery and own trading house. For ensuring effective activity territorially spaced organizations need business process automation and their consolidation in unified information environment. Besides, activity of the enterprises has pronounced seasonal nature that requires periodic redistribution of the available IT resources between the companies.

At the first stage of the project specialists of DEPO Computers booked audit of IT infrastructure and business applications of the customer – schedule system of resources of the enterprise, an accounting and inventory control. In an analysis result of collected information the decision on upgrade of information environment and implementation in the company of the virtualization platform was made.

The main requirement to new IT infrastructure which was imposed by the customer, – the high performance and degree of availability of services to the staff of the company. Therefore the failsafe farm of virtualization based on the DEPO Storm servers for deployment of necessary applications and services, DEPO Storage storage system, the firewall and uninterruptible power supply unit was a part of the complete solution. All equipment was mounted in a compact mounting cabinet of DEPO Rack.

Engineers of DEPO Computers performed necessary installation works, performed setup hardware and the software, held system testing on fault tolerance and put the constructed IT infrastructure into operation.

The Dmitrovsky Vegetables agroholding one of the first among the companies of agro-industrial complex constructed the developed virtualization environment for the systems of accounting and ERP. Having effectively used the available IT budget, the agroholding received the failsafe solution ensuring continuous functioning of subsystems and operational resource allocation depending on requirement of business applications.
