Project implementation based on the new equipment and implementation of technology of virtualization for increase in efficiency of IT infrastructure. Increase in fault tolerance, optimization of operating costs on management of the virtual and physical systems.

Choosing a Solution

Missile defense AMETA company proposed the solution on the basis of program system of VMware based on the equipment of NR for reduction of total ownership cost by computing means and for more effective methods of processing and data storage.

Result

Project implementation of virtualization based on the equipment of NR using VMware allowed to consolidate the big park of the old server hardware in several modern servers with the disk array, having increased performance and having many times increased fault tolerance. Implementation of this solution allowed to solve problems:

• considerable reduction in cost of ownership of a server framework due to increase in flexibility and efficiency of all information environment of the enterprise;
• reduction of number of servers for applications and network services at simultaneous increase in scalability and reliability;
• simplification of development process and testing - developers receive virtual machines "on demand" and in the necessary quantity;
• fast and effective increase in quantity of network services and applications, their transfer from one server at another due to use of the single protected unified platform;
• significant increase in reliability due to placement of applications and data processing on the isolated virtual servers.
