Tekom: Mozaiq

Mozaiq is technology of visualization of process of vote, search and preparation of information on the subsequent events in playlists.

On December 18, 2014 the Tekom company announced new development of Mozaiq - focused on broadcasters.

In any television station there are two management systems for air – the automation system controlling execution of the schedule of television programs and the system of graphic design of air. Until recently the automation system quite successfully coped with control of a system of graphic design of air which used a minimum of design elements – most often the picture welcome screen. But now graphic design of TV channels became more inventive, even sophisticated: on the screen logos change, there are messages from social networks, there are golosovalka and other that professionals call dynamic branding. So the system of graphic design becomes in principle difficult: the dynamic picture which changes either by rules, or depending on circumstances is used. Also it turns out so that these two management systems for air – automation and graphic design - know about each other very little.

Mozaiq representation

The product Mozaiq is peculiar "bridge" between these systems. Development is intended for work with an interactive and helps to change dynamically something in one system or in both on the basis of what occurs in the real world, whether it be telephone vote or change of the schedule, sudden or quite expected.

Functionality:

• data collection from automation systems, video servers and other broadcasting equipment, works with playlists of the ADC automation system by means of ADC services,
• data processing according to user queries,
• providing results in suitable formats for the program and hardware systems from different producers,
• storage of the processed results in the database,
• accumulation of information for reports on each step of all technology process and preserving it in the database.

All Mozaiq components are available from the single graphical interface which provides an easy way of setup of each software module.

As a part of the solution:

• Voting Module - automatically selects for demonstration the following clip from three offered, based on results of spectator vote on phone, the SMS or on the Internet. In other words, the clip which got the maximum number of votes will automatically air the first. Earlier it became manually that potentially attracted the probability of failures - it is difficult to make changes for several seconds, it can lead to absence in air, etc. The module is implemented and successfully works for Power Turk. The module is easily configured for what it is necessary to set three clips for each vote. Mozaiq offers a fast method of creation of such configuration through the editor of SlotEditor.

• Thumbnails Module – allows to generate sketches of the personnel (thumbnails) from video files in the manual or automatic modes. The model can work with the video files placed locally on the computer, in network storage or on the video servers providing access to files under the FTP protocol.

• Next5 - is used for automatic generation of data on the next clips in the schedule of the automation system, including for periodic announcements in the current schedule. Information on the selected clips is displayed using the system of graphic design of air.

In development:

• SMS Modem is the module for data collection from GSM 3G/4G modems, Graphic templates Module providing playlists from templates for the systems of graphic design of air with different information (news, weather, warnings),

• Clip Missing Warning Module - for check of all current events of the automation system on existence of clips which can become the alternative solution for the clients who do not have the IMM system.
