Traffic group – one of market leaders of Server and Latin America in the field of ensuring media support of sporting events on 2 continents within more than 30 years.

Project Tasks

In 2011 the company had a need for consolidation of information of divisions for the purpose of the effective analysis of activity and decision support in several directions, including:

  • efficiency of divisions of the companies on geographical sign;
  • efficiency of different activities of the company (television broadcastings, radio of broadcasting, and tp);
  • efficiency of network of partners of the company in regions and many others.

The choice of the suitable solution took place in the company within several years. From 2009 to 2011 Traffic implemented several solutions in different departments, giving the chance to competent employees to approve systems in actual practice. Proposals of suppliers of BI systems were tested by several criteria:

  • opportunity for work with several data sources at the same time
  • possibility of processing of large volume of data
  • effective remedies of data visualization
  • convenient, cross platform access to reports
  • protection of corporate information
  • ratio price quality
  • implementation time and ROI

Project Steps

After testing of several systems, the Traffic group made the decision to integrate DMReports. The Brazilian department of DMWorks Systems company with assistance of the Russian specialists was engaged in integration. Integration took place in several stages. At the first stage DMReports it was used only for providing the analytical reporting to directors. Afterwards the solution was integrated practically in all subsidiary companies and divisions of the company.

Project Effect

In general, DMReports is used in Traffic group as a single platform for:

  • business analysts heads and top managers of the company (for the analysis of key performance indicators);
  • reporting and analysis of activity by partners of the company (for example, distribution of the commissions, purposes / real sales, etc.);
  • operational reporting staff of sales departments and marketing, HR, legal and financial departments.

DMReports is integrated with several business applications used in the companies which are data sources. The uniform web the portal is unrolled for all levels and types of users which, thanks to differentiation of the rights, I have access only to the reports relating to their sphere of activity. In addition, weekly gets Board of Directors of the company by mail the most important reports on intermediate results of activity.

The DMReports platform was one of the solutions integrated in Traffic group for the trial period. During the period till 2011 the DMReports system was unrolled for work for 20 users (without receivers of reports and analytical panels by e-mail). However to 2014 the number of the users developed reports increased up to 50, and the users having the differentiated access to reports through a web the platform – up to 500.

Integration of the DMReports platform took place slowly, but is sure. By 2011 DMReports forced out other solutions and was gradually integrated with several business applications used in the company including ERP and the Customer Relationship Management System. The uniform web the portal is unrolled for all levels and types of users which, thanks to differentiation of the rights, I have access only to the reports relating to their sphere of activity. In addition, the Board of Directors of the company 'liked' an opportunity to weekly receive by mail the most important reports on intermediate results of activity.

As a result, DMReports is used in Traffic group as a single platform for:

  • business analysts heads and top managers of the company (for the analysis of key performance indicators);
  • reporting and analysis of activity by partners of the company (for example, distribution of the commissions, purposes / real sales, etc.);
  • operational reporting staff of sales departments and marketing, HR, legal and financial departments.

Before me as the hard task of the choice of a suitable system of the Business intelligence stood the head of department of Information Technologies of Traffic group.
