December 23, 2014. The Powercom company implemented the system of uninterrupted power VGD8K31 in the Bogorodsk polygraphic plant.
Installation of the equipment on the Bogorodsk polygraphic plant, according to the recommendations of the producer, was conducted by the service partner who services the equipment with power over 4 kVA – the company of Medayn Tekhnologiya. The set POWERCOM VGD-8K31 UPS model with a power of 8 kVA has a three-phase input and a single-phase exit that allows to perform the centralized protection of the equipment and to evenly load industrial network, using all three phases. Besides, VGD-8K31 belongs to the UPS of online type and works on technology of double conversion. In such UPSes energy of the feeding power supply network before coming to loading, will twice be transformed: at first tension of the power supply network becomes straight, constant voltage is adjusted to necessary level, and then will be transformed to variable with parameters close to ideal. Such principle of work allows to protect the connected equipment from all existing malfunctions in the power supply network: high-voltage emissions, bumps, electromagnetic and radio-frequency interferences, short-term increase or undervoltage, distortion of its form, blackout of power supply, etc.
Vanguard UPSes are equipped with an intelligent microprocessor system of management which not only provides high quality of voltage output, but also gives enhanced communication capabilities. These UPSes have RS-232 and USB ports and also the EPO connector (emergency shutdown) and the slot for the SNMP card. Installation of a system of uninterrupted power of POWERCOM will allow the Bogorodsk plant to provide the continuity of business processes and to save operability of the expensive equipment.
Thanks to installation of a system of uninterrupted power from Powercom, the plant secured itself against problems in the external power supply network.
