DMWorks Systems integrates DMReports into the ERP system as the Module for the Business intelligence

Project Tasks

The product Empresario made by Intelecta company enjoys wide popularity in Latin America among the companies of the average and small sizes. Clients of the ERP system periodically sent requests of the company for need to have an opportunity to carry out the analysis of their activities for these or those criteria, using the data driven in the Empresario EPR system. In the course of the analysis of requests of clients it became clear that there is a number of standard requests for which it is possible to create the standardized report templates. Besides, the system of creation of own reports, and was necessary for clients for type of the users who do not have experience with data processing and their visualization.

Project Steps

In 2010 [DMWorks Systems] and Intelecta began negotiations on an occasion of OEM of the transaction with DMReports implementation purpose as Empresario ERP add-on module which would provide to users of a system a set of ready templates of the analytical and operations reports allowing to work with data in different cuts and also analyze key performance indicators. Besides, it was decided to give to users an opportunity to create reports necessary for them.

By the end of 2010 the first version of Empresario Reports – the version [DMReports], implemented in Empresario was released. Prepared more than 30 ready report templates which were a part of the first version for this moment of DMWorks Systems and Intelecta. After release of the company understood need for simplification of work with data in the course of creation of reports as the database structure of Empresario ERP issued data with unevident names of tables and fields.

At the beginning of 2010 the next version of a product which represented to the users wishing to create own account given in a clear form was released. Besides, it was added some more ready report templates allowing to carry out the analysis by additional criteria.

The project proceeds also till today. Within the project new report templates on requests of users are created and new features in a product among which it is possible to note the module of automatic mailing of reports on e-mail, new report types, simplification of process of creation of new templates, etc. are added.

Project Result

The DMReports platform is built in Empresario ERP as the add-on module in such a way that users of a system do not need to carry out any settings for work with the application. When installing the module of setup are carried out automatically, and it is enough to user to enter these authorizations used for the Empresario ERP system. DMReports as a part of Empresario is delivered with a set of report templates and panels, ready to use, each of which solves specific business challenges, for example:

• the analysis of sales in different cuts: on geographical sign (the countries, regions, the cities), on departments and individual employees, on clients and partners;
• efficiency analysis of the enterprise for activities;
• movement of cash flows, difference between cash receipts and expenses for a certain time frame;
• efficiency analysis of work of staff of the company;
• job analysis with networks of partners and distributors (for example, real sales against the set quotas, payments of the commissions, relevant cash receipts, etc.);

Access to categories to reports is provided according to access rights to these or those sections of the Empresario system.

Thus, thanks to DMReports users of Empresario ERP got the following advantages:

• access to the consolidated data on operational and statistical activity of the company;
• the effective analysis of activity of the company in the different directions thanks to a set of ready report templates and analytical panels;
• possibility of development of own personalized reports meeting needs of each specific company;
• convenient means of work with reports: automatic mailing by e-mail, export of reports to different formats, the accessibility to reports through a web the portal.

These and other opportunities of DMReports allowed users of Empresario ERP to increase considerably efficiency of activity of the companies thanks to the operational and effective analysis of indicators and therefore, speed of decision making.
