The SOLVO company automated a warehouse of Polushka retail network

December 26, 2014. The SOLVO company announced project completion on automation of the distribution center of network of Polushka retail stores (Food Exchange holding) in St. Petersburg.

Choosing a Solution

The necessity of system implementation was caused, first of all, by the need for correct accounting of expiration dates, minimization of a human factor at assembly of orders. The management of grocery chain made the decision for benefit of the Solvo.WMS system, relying on long-term successful experiment of the company on implementation of the solutions in warehouses of distribution and retail.

Project Features

Within the project the put-to-store technology for weight goods increasing efficiency of wave assembly was for the first time implemented.

Results of Implementation

Based on Solvo.WMS system implementation on a warehouse complex of Polushka company, the results which showed that initially effective objectives of automation of a warehouse with success were achieved were summed up:

• Accuracy of data on warehouse stocks increased;
• Storage capacity after system implementation increased;
• Qualities of assembly of orders improved: regrading decreased, there is accounting of expiration dates of food;
• Now full control of merchandising is provided.
• The Solvo.WMS system allows to solve the problems traditional for the distribution center: in acceptance and selection of goods accounting of expiration dates, distribution of goods in a warehouse according to ABC the analysis, selection of products by pickers taking into account weight parameters of goods and many other things are used.
