Center of social support of the population of the Kaliningrad region

OGKU "Center of Social Support of the Population" (which is hereinafter referred to as – the Center) is created on the basis of the government decree of the Kaliningrad region of December 09, 2005 No. 95 "About creation of "Center of Social Support of the Population" regional public institution.

The center is non-profit organization.

A founder of the Center is the Ministry of social policy of the Kaliningrad region. The center is in departmental subordination of the Ministry of social policy of the Kaliningrad region which exercises control, coordination and regulation of its activity.

Main objectives of the Center:

• implementation of the rights of citizens to social security, receiving measures of social support in accordance with the legislation of the Russian Federation and Kaliningrad region;

• establishment of the status of the persons having the right to measures of social support, issue of the corresponding certificates;

• ensuring timely and correct appointment, recalculation and payment of the welfare and regional payments and compensation payments;

• ensuring target and correct use of the means intended on payment of the welfare and regional payments and compensation payments.

• providing the social guarantees set by the federal and regional legislation for the veterans and disabled people, citizens discharged from military service and members of their families;

• implementation of actions for confidential information protection and safety of the databases which are under authority of the Center;
• implementation of actions for providing social payments to the population in a format of "one window";
• assistance to development of a system of social partnership at the territorial level and contractual regulation of labor relations in the organizations performing the activity in the subordinated territory;
• carrying out explanatory work on the current legislation in the field of social security of citizens;

• carrying out reception of citizens on the questions which are in competence of the Center.
