Svyazcom.Equipment Identity Register (Svyazcom.EIR)

The platform Svyazcom.EIR (Equipment Identity Register) is a hardware-software complex which provides accounting of subscribers and their terminals as soon as they appear in network. For this purpose the platform is integrated with a switching equipment of the operator and processes CheckIMEI requests from it.

This solution is the most effective replacement of the predecessor and provides additional opportunities for interaction with other services of the telecom operator.

Svyazcom.EIR/DMS is a hardware and software system for remote loading of settings of data services for mobile devices of subscribers. Besides, the developed solution collects and stores statistics on data on mobile devices in network.

Svyazcom.EIR/DMS is an optimal technical and economic solution. One of the main differences Svyazcom.EIR/DMS from a former system consists in close integration with EIR (Equipment Identity Register). The subsystem of EIR stores and supports the database of triplets IMEI/IMSI/MSISDN appearing in network of the operator lately in current status. In case of detection of the next triplet, the event is transferred to a subsystem of DMS.

Integration of DMS with EIR provides opportunities:

• The developed solution reduces load of service of subscriber service and SMSC. Now the subscriber does not need to deal with setup of different services or to order them through service center of the operator. Svyazcom.EIR/DMS provides automatic sending settings for the mobile terminal of the subscriber within no more than 2 minutes.
• There is an opportunity to get rid of specialized software on SIM cards for the automatic order of settings.
• In DMS it will be possible to accumulate and structure data on devices of all subscriber base of the operator. It will allow to receive analytics for business development.

With the help Svyazcom.EIR/DMS the telecom operator will be able always to trace a trend of development of this or that technology among subscribers of a certain region and to understand in what direction it is necessary to move further. It considerably will reduce the probability of unjustified economic costs.

Svyazcom.EIR/DMS functions since the beginning of September, 2019, expansion of functionality of a system is possible further. One of options of increase in opportunities – integration with a monitoring system of subscriber events (Svyazcom.EIR Control). This solution generates requests in external systems at detection of suspicious activity of the SIM card of the subscriber on other device.

2016: EIR Control

As of March, 2016 the module EIR Control helps financial credit institutions (for example, to banks) to fight against fraud concerning the clients. If the mobile device is infected with the malware, EIR Control will notify bank on need to block management of funds from this number.

EIR Control can trace and transfer data on any other suspicious actions with the subscriber's phone. For example, at the subscriber the mobile device changed. The bank obtains information on change of parameters and, in attempt of management of the account via other phone, can carry out repeated verification of data.

Except protection against different fraudulent activity, EIR Control allows to save on SMS traffic. The notification using the SMS is a modern standard in customer service of financial credit institutions. Unfortunately, the bank not always obtains in time information on change of the phone number of the client. As a result SMS which leave in anywhere or other subscriber, what is much worse go. Using EIR Control sending messages by irrelevant numbers is excluded. As a result the customer loyalty raises and costs on SMS traffic are reduced.

How it works

The employee of the bank creates and updates the special list with customer numbers (subscribers of the operator) according to which the module EIR Control collects data.

What can trace EIR Control:

• Change of the SIM card.
• Change of the owner of number.
• Change of the used mobile device.
• Contract cancelation with the subscriber.
• Installation or removal of administrative blocking.
• Inclusion and switching off of readdressing of the SMS or calls.
• Use by the subscriber of the device who is infected with the malware.

Organizes the listed events and the EIR Control parameters from different sources in network of the operator. At will they can be added any other.

Data retrieveds go to financial credit institution. At the same time EIR Control supports flexible configuration of rules of sending. Interaction happens to banks on FTP or SOAP that provides easy and fast connection of the new organizations.

On the basis of data of EIR Control the staff of financial credit institution makes the decision on blocking, additional verification or other necessary actions on the subscriber.

As a result, cellular operators help financial credit institutions to provide protection of clients against different fraudulent activity, improve image and increase loyalty that serves as guarantee of commercial success.

EIR Bonus

The EIR Bonus function will be useful when holding marketing campaigns. It is enough to specify action parameters, for example, of TAC/IMEI of phones when which using the operator offers advantageous conditions. After purchase of the device on the stock, subscribers will automatically receive different bonuses: additional SMS packages or Internet traffic, grace periods and other advantages at the request of the telecom operator. Within one action individual settings for different regions of service or phone models can be configured. The platform informs subscribers by the SMS on a bonus status: it is connected or disconnected, validity period and other events.

The solution saves time of employees — automates process of charge of bonuses and simplifies partner interaction. A system traces and stores the history of use of devices by the subscriber — it excludes a possibility of a fraud. When changing the device on not participating in an action, it is possible to configure shutdown of bonus services or entering of subscribers into the "black" list.

Not to lose money for promotion for nothing, the system of precise measurement of results of the held events is necessary. Detailed statistics on work of the platform will allow to analyze and estimate efficiency of marketing campaigns. Import of reports to the PDF and XLS formats, start according to the schedule and sending for email is supported. Collected information will help to create more exact forecast of behavior of subscribers at start of new actions.

According to information for January, 2015 the module "EIR Bonus" works in JSC MTS network — operator in Russia and the CIS countries. The solution uses standard protocols and is easily integrated both with the platform Svyazcom.EIR, and with the systems of other producers.

Adding of the management tool programs of loyalty

Specialists of Svyazcom company improved the solution "Svyazcom.Equipment Identity Register" (Svyazcom.EIR) at the beginning of 2015. In addition to basic function — detection and registration of mobile devices — the convenient management tool is added by programs of loyalty.
