The Financial Information Systems group and JSC Metcombank summed up at the beginning of 2015 the first results of work of the solution FIS Collection System directed to collecting problem debt. The implementation project started in April, 2013, and at the beginning of December the product was displaid in commercial operation.
System implementation of collection was complete in 7 months. Within the project a wide range of possibilities was implemented and business processes on work with the retail credits at all stages of debt collection are configured: from preventive measures (pre-collection) to more difficult – judicial collecting and enforcement proceeding. Also the processes on the credits of SME covering all range of collecting of debts in this segment were automated: restructuring, cession, implementation extrajudicially, bankruptcy, work with the notary, work with pledge, judicial proceedings, enforcement proceeding, etc. Separate mentioning implementation of integration with contact center of Bank − deserves CTI Outbound. The whole group of reference books was configured, templates of letters, notifications and SMS are implemented. Thanks to online requests in the core banking system of Bank, the bank specialist always has the most up-to-date information on payments of the debtor.
Within an implementation project unique experience of migration from one of widespread management systems for debt collection on FIS Collection System was got. The main problem of the previous system was high-speed performance, so, for example, time of opening of the card of the client could be measured not for minutes, but hours!
In addition to the extensive functionality supporting a full stroke of work with debts of both physical, and legal entities, the Bank had absolutely unique opportunities. So, Metcombank became the first bank which began active use of the last development of FIS Group (which already evoked a wide response at bank community) − mobile application of FIS Collection System Mobile. "This interactive tool on management of meetings allows to work with identical efficiency both at office, and beyond its limits that is very relevant for exit specialists of hard-collection. And for heads gives additional control and transparency of work of subordinates. Without exaggeration it is the first bank installation in Russia which will become must-have for all banks working with problem debts already in the near future", − the project manager from FIS Group Alexey Smirnov comments.
The FIS Collection System system quickly proved the efficiency. Within a year after start of a system in commercial operation the following results were received:
- indicators of recovery (Recovery rate) grew more than by 30-40%;
- indicators of collecting (Collection) grew more than twice;
- the gain of NLP90 shows a downtrend (almost for 40%);
- the predictive pro-ring allowed to optimize time of operators and to increase the number of direct contacts. Additional settings of contact center achieved increase in sociability by 67% with a growth of number of clients in work for 46%.
"When choosing a system the main requirements for us were: high-speed performance of a system, a possibility of creation of two and more processes with different contractors on one object, and also flexible system of setup of strategy. The product of FIS Group completely conformed to the stated requirements at that time therefore it was selected from quality of a system for Collection work, and after is successfully implemented in rather short terms. It would be desirable to note that life changes, the legislation changes, clients, and respectively and approaches to collecting change. Nevertheless the command of FIS Group perfectly adapts the product according to needs of the customer and requirements of time. And the lack of the words "it is impossible" in those tasks that were put before them, in my opinion, costs much.
Market situation dictates need to have in an arsenal the most effective and modern remedies for work with problem debt for bank specialists.
