Smurfit Kappa gives to clients the SCM-web interface

The St. Petersburg Smurfit Kappa company is producer of corrugated cardboard packaging in North-West Region, put since the beginning of 2015 into operation the Web Shop system - the interface allowing clients to place at the plants of the company in Russia orders for production electronically, to trace their status and also to manage the related document flow, including delivery notes, invoices, credit-notes and other documents.

The mechanism is a part of an end-to-end system of supply chain management (SCM – supply chain management) and is designed to increase customer service quality of the company, having at the same time lowered load of the client block due to partial self-service of routine transactions such as, for example, check of an order status and also obtaining finance documents.

The last is especially important in connection with the new scheme of accounting of the VAT which became effective since January 1, 2015 demanding from suppliers of the accelerated exposure and delivery to clients of invoices on the performed works and the shipped goods.

Commenting on new maintaining, the IT director of Smurfit Kappa Lozhechnikov Andrey noted St. Petersburg: "Our purpose - not only to offer the client the complete list of services including product development, high-quality production and a convenient service on storage and delivery but also to make cooperation with us easy and convenient. For this purpose we implement the Web Shop system".
