MAYKOR implemented IT outsourcing in DVFU

February 4, 2015. Far Eastern Federal University announced use of complex IT outsourcing. IT support of the campus more than 800 thousand sq.m., largest in Russia, to Russky Island and divisions of the university in the Far East and in Moscow is transferred to MAYKOR company. It is the largest outsourcing project in the educational sphere in Russia.

Implementing IT-Innovations, DVFU applies the best world practices and to management of large-scale IT infrastructure, one of which was an outsourcing. The university made the decision to transfer support of all IT infrastructure one service-provayderune only in a campus to Russky Island, but also in departments in Vladivostok, Arsentyev, Nakhodka, Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky and Ussuriysk. Based on tender of IT outsourcing by uniform service provider there was a MAYKOR company having the developed resource base in the Far East.

In fact, MAYKOR will become service of IT support of DVFU, a part of engineering structure of the university already passed to full-time employment to the outsourcer. The service provider will be responsible for uninterrupted operation more than 10 thousand automated jobs, more than 200 units of the server hardware, 3.5 thousand units of the multiple copying equipment. Also the list of the supported systems includes the structured cable network, telecommunications, the multimedia equipment, information management systems of DVFU and medical center, electronic educational resources of the university. The IT department will focus on development of IT strategy, general management and quality control of work of systems.
