Transneft automated planning and management of IT activity of the company, having implemented a system based on the SAP BPC platform (SAP Business Planning and Consolidation).

All organizations of the system Transneft numbering more than 20 transport and over 25 service companies, said in the company of the project documentation published on the website became automation objects within the project. Now budgeting on IT activity in Transneft is performed in the budget packet implemented in a format of the MS Excel files, and approval happens in paper form, said in the project documentation.

Refer lack of a possibility of planning of expenses within IT projects and IT systems to shortcomings of the existing accounting systems of Transneft, a possibility of automatic consolidation of IT expenses, the small performance of the current solution, lack of convenient instruments of electronic approval, etc.

Automation affected processes of formation of the IT program of the company, their approval, the plan fact the analysis and adjustment. A system based on SAP BPC will allow to plan works and the required amounts on IT systems and IT projects by the different temporary periods and also to plan annual operating costs, to make and approve IT programs, to carry out their adjustment, to receive and unload project reports and to programs, to carry out comparison of versions of IT programs, etc.

The solution has three-level architecture. The database server and the application server of a new solution will take place in DPC of Transneft, and access for users to a system to be provided via the client software of SAP EPM. A system should provide a possibility of simultaneous operation in it 400 users, said in technical requirements to the solution.
