CDC Group implemented SAP Afaria in STADA CIS company

February 16, 2015. CDC Group completed the work on system implementation of mobile device management of SAP Afaria in an information system of the Russian pharmaceutical holding STADA CIS which is a part of the international group STADA AG.

Cooperation of both companies began in 2005 when works on automation of action of mobile staff of NIZHPHARM company started (NIZHPHARM was a part of STADA CIS in 2008) in several regions of Russia. The OPTIMUM system developed by company CDC allowed to optimize entering of information into the database, to reduce costs of time for introduction and transfer of reporting information, to completely exclude paper carriers for introduction and information storage, to perform daily planning and to enter data on current expenses. There was a possibility of the automated introduction of data on a visit in the form of the graphic information (photo), to mobile store and use information on the previous visits and that is important, to discipline employees for timely introduction and information transfer.

For the last few years the park of corporate mobile devices of NIZHPHARM company grew several times. In 2014 there was a need of application of the software which standardizes used mobile software and data, will allow to exercise remote control and control of operation of such devices. The solution to stop the choice on SAP Afaria was caused by the fact that it most fully approached under requirements of STADA CIS to opportunities of such system. The fact that SAP and CDC companies already long time are partners, and STADA CIS their client, with positive experience of interaction, convinced us that implementation will take place in the best way.

The project started in June, 2014 and solved the following main objectives:

• Reduction of all park of mobile devices of the company to the single interface of management;
• Implementation of remote control settings of devices (restriction of use of components of the device, such as camera or wireless connections) and also installation of uniform parameters of security on devices;
• Possibility of remote installation of utility programs on mobile devices and also remote removal of data from devices (group or selective device management);
• Implementation of the centralized distribution of files on everything or the selected group of mobile devices;
• Setup of an automatic information acquisition system about structure and characteristics hardware and the software and also, in case of need, and about location of each of mobile devices.

At the end of 2014 SAP Afaria was completely set on the devices NIZHPHARM used by the company in the territory of Russia. Within the first months the management of STADA CIS was convinced that the decision on implementation of a similar system was correct as it allowed not only to manage on a centralized basis devices and to place necessary applications and information, but also to provide higher level of security during the work with corporate documents and data.
