"РТКомм.РУ" the start of the project of satellite broadband access for farms of Russia is given

On February 2, 2015 to of Babichevo, Medynsky district, the Kaluga Region, the presentation and start of a pilot zone of the joint project of JSC РТКомм.РУ and "Uniform center of development of agriculture" on providing service of satellite broadband access (broadband access) in the Internet for farms took place.

For project implementation on creation of "A single telecommunication network of agricultural producers of Russia" the capacity of the Russian communication satellites of the Yamal or Express series will be used. The first connections of farms will be performed in the "classical" Ku-range. So, connection in of Babichevo, is executed via the Yamal-402 satellite. Further, RTKOMM is going to organize satellite connections, using KA range, via the Express AM6 satellites in the European part of Russia and through Express AM5 in Siberia and the Far East. Within a pilot zone access rate up to 1 Mbps that it is quite enough for operation of applications of the ZARYA complex, including the system of a video conferencing. After deployment of the platform in KA range, speeds to 5 Mbit/sec. will be available to consumers. In the medium term of RTKOMM is going to connect about 30 thousand farms to a single telecommunication network of agricultural producers.
