Intermech Professional Solutions (IPS) is the universal system of the corporate level for management of information objects.

IPS helps to integrate and manage information on products: from conceptual design - before delivery in production, from production of separate copies and batches - before utilization of the products which served the term.

The software package IPS provides highly effective data management at all development stages of documentation, preparation of production, release and operation of products. Use of products of the IPS family allows to organize production according to the quality standards (ISO 9000, etc.), to reduce costs for development and production of new products, to improve quality, to reduce product yield terms by the market, to create an all-corporate information system, to integrate resources, processes, products and other information in a common information space.

Expanded means of search and quick access to information

• On a desktop of the user of IPS it is possible to place objects of any type.
• In the Recent Objects window objects with which the user made certain actions automatically are located (edited, browsed, opened in a new window, etc.).
• The special mode allows to see when viewing the document list of archive documents from all enclosed archives (and, respectively, to run for document retrieval on all hierarchy of the enclosed archives).
• Contextual selections allow to run for search of the object which is rather selected from a system. Conditions of such selections may contain not constants, but the link to object attributes concerning which there is an information search. For example, it is possible to find all documents which were checked by the same person that checked the specified document. Contextual selections can also run for object search on the communications entering or proceeding from the specified object.
• Filters of objects are used for additional filtering of the list of already found objects that considerably simplifies information search in a system.
• Schemes of search allow to look for structure and applicability of objects on any nesting level, and in schemes required relationship types and objects for search of a certain information and also a condition of filtering of the found objects can be specified. For example, it is possible to create the scheme for search of all documentation on the selected product or to look for all orders for which production the selected machine is used.
• The general search index allows to look for data taking into account word forms and also to sort search results by relevance of a request.
• The enclosed search conditions in selections allow to look for data on values of the attributes entering / the applied objects on several nesting levels.

The improved preview players and annotations of documents

• New opportunities for scaling of the image and also elements for navigation on layers and pages of the document.
• Graphic notes can be drawn directly on the Viewing tab, and for the built-in formats (the specification, the notification on changes, the sheet and so forth) the binding of notes to image elements is performed.
• The special window "General view" allows to browse all document in the reduced scale and using "lens" to select the interesting part for the enlarged viewing.
• The special element of navigation allows to get quick access to all files which belong directly to a browsed object in the context of the current role of the user (for example, files of the specification, three-dimensional model and the assembly drawing will be available to the designer to assembly unit on the Viewing tab).

Workflow acceleration

• Support of sleep mode of Windows (Hibernate) allows to accelerate loading of the software in workplaces.
• The built-in qualifiers allow to appropriate values to different attributes of the classified objects that reduces amount of information, the filled user manually.
• Viewing and editing any information on an object (attributes, communications, access rights, events and so forth) is performed without call of additional dialog boxes.
• Long transactions (loading of files, information search, report generation, sheets and so forth) are executed in background threads that saves time of users and allows to involve the potential of multinuclear architecture more fully.
• A system stores files of work copies in special working directories that completely saves the user from need to specify the directory for extraction of files at start of external editors of documents.
• The special mode of fast save of three-dimensional models accelerates process of preliminary study of models when in the database it is not required to create products on the saved models.

Increase in convenience of work

• Editing design documents (specifications, lists of elements and so forth) is made in the same type in which they will be printed.
• A system allows to edit communications between any objects about the help of a clipboard (Copy, Cut, Insert command).
• Any database object (product, technical process, selection, archive, etc.) can be placed on a desktop of the user, at the same time attributes and structure of an object can be edited directly on a desktop of the user.
• The panel of editing structure provides convenient means for search and adding in structure of already existing objects and also information from reference books of IMBase.
• In object lists grouping on values of any attributes is implemented.
• The Open with the Help command allows users to select alternative programs for editing documents (if it is authorized to the user access rights).
• There is a possibility of editing structure of assembly unit in the navigator's tree even in the presence of the design specification - at the same time all changes of structure will be carried automatically out to the specification at its subsequent opening for editing.
• Each user can independently configure visibility of points of a context menu and tabs with different information that allows to simplify the interface of the program.

Effective interaction of specialists

• The Discussion tab allows to organize discussion of any project, notification or an information object directly in a system.
• The module of integration into external e-mail is composition that allows to accept and send e-mails directly from the client of IPS.
• The built-in organizer displays on the calendar of a task from different sources: the tasks and events appointed in the organizer, IMProject tasks and also incoming letters of the router at which the accomplishment deadline is appointed.

New features of ensuring control and security

• Comparison of structure of working and archive copies of an object allows to monitor the changes made in an object.
• A system stores the complete history of values of objects attributes and communications that allows to browse further this information using different filters (the value entered by the current user, values which were accepted by attribute of the specified object, etc.).
• In document lists of archive it is possible to see any additional attributes of documents, and not just the obligatory attributes appointed by the administrator for this archive.
• In a system there is a possibility of recovery of remote objects (lifetime of remote objects is configured by the administrator depending on type of objects).
• In a card of any object there is an Actions over an Object tab which with access rights allows to browse the history of work with an object.
• The special Output window gives the chance to browse information on results of accomplishment of different transactions in a system.
• The mechanism of iterations allows to save a status and communications of objects in any timepoints that gives the chance to the user to roll away the changes made after creation of this iteration.
