Smartec desktop readers ST-CE310LR

The product line of Smartec was filled up in February, 2015 by the compact desktop readers ST-CE310LR providing automatic input of codes of cards in a DB of special programs and their programming via the access control system PC. Working in the frequency range of 865-868 MHz, the reader with the USB interface is compatible to UHF identifiers of ISO-18000-6C/ISO-18000-6B. It has the range of reading and records 10 and 5 of cm, respectively, is equipped with light and sound indication, is connected to the PC through USB port and supports the "emulation of the keyboard" mode. Besides, ST-CE310LR "is registered" in software of Timex, and existence of open SDK allows to embed it in any software application.

ST-CE310LR represents the compact desktop reader UHF of access cards and is intended for their programming and input of the code in an access control system. For convenience of operation this reader with USB is automatically determined on the PC at its connection by a standard four-wire cable in which two wires are intended for receiving and transmitting data, and two others — for giving on power supply device. ST-CE310LR fully works without use of the separate power source since the post receives 5 V. current / 190 a mA directly from the computer or the notebook through USB port. For operation indication it is equipped with a LED and the generator of a sound signal.

The reader ST-CE310LR is integrated into the software of Timex for the organization of a centralized system of access control and a time recording which functionality includes use of world communications with expanded settings and a possibility of mailing of the SMS and Email of messages. In the "emulation of the keyboard" mode the reader with USB allows to register quickly and unmistakably codes of cards and to load them into the software database of Timex. At the same time possibilities of ST-CE310LR are not limited to work with software of Timex as SDK, available to installers, provides integration of the reader device with USB port in any other application for programming and registration of codes of UHF cards.

Programming of transponders and recognition of their ST-CE310LR code performs on Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) technology which is maintained by all contactless card readers of the Smartec brand and other producers. However the new reader with USB works at frequencies of 865-868 MHz which use the modern ultrahigh-frequency passive cards, tags and other identifiers marked by UHF. Performs acceptance of the identification code of the card and its transfer through USB on the ST-CE310LR PC automatically, it is enough to bring the card and it will enter its code into an active field of the started application, for example, in access control system software, allowing to exclude, thereby, errors of input and to reduce the general time for registration of the admission in a system.

Functionality of ST-CE310LR provides performance improvement of work of the operator on input of codes of identifiers as automatic input significantly reduces time necessary for loading of codes of cards in software applications. Using this reader with USB, it is possible to register identifiers in applications for logistics, security, protection of library stocks, agriculture, etc. Besides, the USB reader allows to enter new users into a control system of access through a software module of bureau of admissions, the module of management of visitors, the module of a time recording, etc.
