Cherkizovo Group completed upgrade of a complex of cable systems

On February 19, 2015 the Cherkizovo Group and Jet Infosystems company announced completion of upgrade of a complex of cable systems of Cherkizovsky Meat Processing Plant in Moscow on the platform of the equipment Telegärtner.

Project Tasks

SCS - Basic Element of all IT infrastructure of the plant, capacity of its about 1500 ports, extent of trunk lines – 11 km, total length exceeds 260 km. Technical solutions of the SKS industrial connectors of Telegärtner company correspond to degree of protection^[1] and ensure reliable functioning of the equipment and network in the conditions of aggressive chemical environment, intensive mechanical, temperature and hydroinfluences. Works were carried out at meat processing plant of Group, in Moscow.

Project Progress

"Important line of the Cherkizovo Group is deep penetration of IT on technology Wednesday: our production is substantially automated, a part of processes is controlled far off, – Vladislav Belyaev, the CIO of the Cherkizovo Group told. – At the same time a key role is played by reliability of the low-current cable networks laid in production premises. To exclude the possible idle times of production connected with failures of connections we together with our partner – Jet Infosystems company – constructed industrial SCS with the increased reliability level, the guaranteeing operability of all IT infrastructure of the plant".

Experts of Jet Infosystems company developed the project of upgrade of network taking into account requirements for architecture, performance, reliability, a possibility of growth of number of users, their movements in buildings, etc. Installation of SCS is executed in the factory body according to the concept "a hierarchical star with the uniform center". The key equipment – more than 50 units is connected to SCS. SCS together with active network equipment are formed by a LAN of the plant, integrating servers, computers, automatic telephone exchange, telephone sets, technology equipment and security systems. Along with SCS the power supply system providing giving of uninterrupted power on jobs and network equipment is upgraded. Such approach helped to organize the universal managed communication infrastructure.

"Speaking about features of the project, there is a wish to note need to conduct all works on upgrade on the operating production, – Sergey Andronov, the director of the Center of network solutions of Jet Infosystems company noted. – We scrupulously planned all stages – from audit of the existing cable systems in production premises of the Cherkizovo Group before directly installation new SCS. At the same time we were guided by the increased requirements to sterility imposed to the enterprises of the food industry".

The SCS configuration allows step-by-step upgrade of separate nodes, a possibility of development, connection of additional network resources and jobs. All components of a cable system are provided with a 25-year guarantee of manufacturing company.
