2020: Eaton 93PM G2 UPS
On December 23, 2020 the Eaton company provided the second generation of the uninterruptible power supply unit (UPSU) of Eaton 93PM. Modular scalable construction of the device allows to increase the power and protection of power supply according to business needs. The HotSync technology which is responsible for synchronization of operation of several UPSes without direct information link, and the HotSwap technology providing a possibility of hot swap of power modules optimize availability and reliability of the device; the built-in functions of security reduce the electric risk and risks connected with cyber security; remote monitoring provides additional protection.
According to the company, modular and scalable constructions of the UPS allow the customer to select that power which is necessary for it, and gradually to increase it according to business needs. Power of the UPS is increased without power off of the device thanks to power modules with a possibility of hot swap. When adding modules with a step of 50 or 60 kVA it is not required to stop a system and to mention an ultimate load.
Cyber security modules, power modules with hot swap and the solution Eaton EnergyAware which allows to advance alternative energy sources and to return a part of costs for the electric power in the form of profit back in DPC are provided in devices. UPS 93PM G2 is intended for ensuring smooth operation of the enterprises and critical infrastructure. System availability raises due to HotSync technology. In traditional UPSes loss of communication between devices leads to transition to a bypass, unloading the system of back supply. HotSync eliminates risk of formation of a uniform point of failure.
The cyber security is provided due to connection of the UPS to network via the gigabit network interface card (Network MS) and the Industrial Gateway card from Eaton — the communication cards which received certificates of cyber security of IEC 62443-4-2 and UL 29001-1.
For ensuring additional availability and security of the Eaton 93PM G2 UPS are equipped with previously designed, tested and installed components for observance of standards and safe operation.
The Eaton Energy Saver System (ESS) technology increases efficiency to level over 99%, and Eaton Variable Module Management (VMMS) helps to reach efficiency even in the conditions of small loading which are typical for the UPSes redundant systems.
The Eaton EnergyAware technology allows to protect the environment and more widely to use alternative power sources. Such solution positively affects social responsibility of corporations and provides economy and an additional income to business at the expense of the electric power given to network.
The Eaton 93PM G2 UPS supports the software of Eaton Intelligent Power Management (IPM) for monitoring and management of the UPS as a part of infrastructure of power supply and IT. Maintenance and support are performed by function of remote monitoring from Eaton which is included in a basic equipment of the device and allows to react to any threats for the UPS connected with energy consumption or cyber security quickly.
UPSes 93PM G2 will appear in Russia in February, 2021.

Eaton 91PS и 93PS
On November 27, 2018 the Eaton company announced start of a line of uninterruptible power supply units of Eaton 91PS which will become a single-phase alternative to three-phase Eaton 93PS UPSes. According to the company, both lines are held for use at the enterprises where they are important efficiency, reliability, security and scalability. The next Eaton 91PS UPSes have power from 8 to 30 kW, and Eaton 93PS — from 8 to 40 kW. Eaton 91PS and 93PS UPSes are suitable for server rooms, small data processing centers and the crucial IT equipment, for example, in spheres of health care, telecommunication, sea navigation and industry.
Eaton 91PS and 93PS UPSes guarantee total cost of ownership, low in the market. Both lines are created using the technologies providing the high efficiency of devices — for November, 2018 more than 96% in the normal mode of double conversion. Showing electrical power factor 1.0 for November, 2018, Eaton 91PS and 93PS UPSes issue 25% more active power, than equivalent UPSes, providing higher efficiency.
In addition, in the UPS of both lines two key technologies of Eaton for increase in efficiency are used. The energy-saving technology of Energy Saver System (ESS) for November, 2018 allows the Eaton 91PS and 93PS UPS to reach efficiency to 99% and to double potential annual economy. At the same time the technology of adaptive control by the modules Variable Module Management (VMMS) from Eaton helps to reach high efficiency even in the conditions of small loading that is typical for the UPSes redundant systems.
In lines of the Eaton 91PS and 93PS UPS several technologies which allow to maximize fault tolerance of the equipment on especially important objects are also implemented:
- Hot Sync — the patented Eaton technology for load distribution between the UPS which eliminates a uniform point of failure in the system in parallel of the working UPSes;
- Advanced Battery Management (ABM) — provides an intellectual charge of batteries and prolongs the term of their service;
- use of power modules with a possibility of "hot" replacement and "hot" scaling which can be set at that time while other modules continue to protect loading — it eliminates need of transition to a bypass at maintenance or works on increase in power of a system;
- internal reservation with only one block at the level of the UPS, without the need for parallel operation;
- readiness for virtualization: Eaton 91PS and 93PS UPSes support the software of Eaton Intelligent Power Management (IPM) which is used for monitoring and management of the UPS as a part of infrastructure of power supply and IT.
Both lines also support the functions guaranteeing the safe installation and uses implemented at the expense of previously developed, tested and the integrated protective components preset in a basic equipment — safety locks on the static switch and protection against reverse currents.
Eaton 9SX UPS
On September 3, 2018 the Eaton company provided the UPSes of a line of 9SX intended for the markets of the region of EMEA. UPSes with power from 0.7 to 6.0 kv in classical and rack form factors will add the existing lineup of a line of 9SX already including devices with power from 5.0 to 11.0 kv. Uninterruptible power supply units of Eaton 9SX as the developer claims, provide high operational readiness, flexibility and reliable protection of infrastructure both IT departments and small data centers, and data networks, storage systems and objects in the field of the industry, health care and telecommunications.
As explained in Eaton company, the line of 9SX is a generation of the UPS which is the advanced version of the Eaton 9130 series. In the provided devices the functionality put in the solutions Eaton 9130 gains development and a number of additional functions appears, including:
- calculation of an expense of the electric power based on tracking of energy consumption on kWh indicators at the level of the UPS;
- display of bigger number of parameters on the updated LCD screen which helps to obtain quickly all necessary information on a device status;
- information display about the recommended terms of replacement of batteries;
- automatic detection of external battery modules (EBM).
According to the statement of the developer, in a line of 9SX advanced technologies of Eaton which allow clients of the company to receive a product with optimal price relation and qualities are used. The electrical power factor of UPS 9SX is equal 0.9, i.e. these devices provide more actual power (in Watts) and give the best protection of the connected equipment. At the same time reliability of these UPSes increases at the expense of the thought-over topology of a system and support of the technology of double conversion allowing to trace voltage levels and frequencies in network and to automatically activate an internal bypass in case of fault or an overload of the UPS.
Support of virtualization in software of Intelligent Power Manager developed for monitoring and management of the UPS allows to use devices 9SX together with virtualization platforms, such as VMware, vCenter and Microsoft HyperV. Thanks to it IT specialists will be able to program operation of the UPS in the different conditions with the help the politician providing the automated disaster recovery, controlled shutdown, segmentation of loading and integration of means of cloud management noted in Eaton.
Devices are available to buyers since September, 2018.
2017: 9PHD
9PHD - uninterruptible power supply unit.
On April 19, 2017 the Eaton company provided UPS 9PHD – the technological solution for protection of power supply in difficult and extreme operating conditions.
UPS 9PHD is generation of uninterruptible power supply units for operation in difficult conditions. The intelligent device of protection of power supply is developed for use in the conditions of production premises. Modular construction of the device provides the efficiency of 97-99%.
The Eaton 9PHD UPS is for the first time presented at the Russian market. A system has rugged construction. The external body with several options of degrees of protection (from IP23 to IP54) is capable to maintain vibration and seismic influences. Payments of power switches have the varnish covering protecting them from dirt, dust, water and moisture.
As a part of the intellectual technologies maintaining reliability of functioning enter:
- sensor of parameters of the environment for remote monitoring of temperature and humidity,
- the protected touch LCD display,
- special air filters,
- the reserve managed cooling fans for each power module.

Eaton 9PHD can be completed with a set of the built-in options, for example transformers, complementary filters. The device is rather compact. Is suitable for use in the oil and gas and pulp-and-paper industries, mining, metallurgy, mechanical engineering, the agrarian sector, etc.
Modular construction of the device causes safe process of installation and commissioning. In the body the space for the cables, mounting loops facilitating raising of the equipment in installation process and frontal access to the device for service is increased. 9PHD is suitable for work in three - and four-wire networks and range of voltage of 380-480 V without the need for use of additional transformers.

Eaton 93PS is uninterruptible power supply unit. Rated power is 8-40 kW.
On October 29, 2015 the Eaton company announced release of uninterruptible power supply unit 93PS. It allows operators of the crucial IT equipment to provide fault tolerance of systems.

New Eaton 93PS is suitable for use in small and medium DPCs, at offices, in retail trade, health facilities, the educational and government organizations. During its creation the dominant technologies integrating electric and IT infrastructure and providing the maximum availability of power supply were used. Efficiency of the device reaches 99% at the smallest operating costs that does it to the most productive UPSes in the class.
Eaton 93PS is the intelligent UPS, ready for virtualization and work with a cloud. He uses the software developed by Eaton company [Eaton Intelligent Power Manager|Intelligent Power Manager (IPM)]] and Intelligent Power Protector (IPP) which also data storage are integrated with the leading virtualization platforms that monitoring allows IT administrators of a message and to manage a system from one window.
With the help [Eaton Intelligent Power Manager|Intelligent Power Manager]] can customize a system so that she notified the administrator on any violation of power supply and provided integration of infrastructure of power supply into virtualization platforms and data storage. For example, using [VMware vCenter Site Recovery Manager|VMware Site Recovery Manager (SRM)]] for start of transfer of virtual machines on the storage area of backup copies, it is possible to provide the maximum availability without data loss. One more important advantage is function of "reset" of loading that increases operating time of the battery and provides a bigger window of opportunities at recovery in an emergency situation using SRM.
One of important technology advantages of Eaton 93PS is the system of conservation of energy (ESS). It ensures safety and reliability of power supply in the largest data processing centers worldwide, increases UPS efficiency to 99% by means of shutdown of power modules when conversion of a power supply is not required. At the same time in case of need a system passes into the mode of double conversion less than for two milliseconds. Besides, ESS increases reliability of power supply, reduces load of electric components, prolongs service life of the UPS and reduces operating costs.
The adaptive system of control of Eaton company of modules (VMMS) which distributes loading in single UPSes and parallel systems by means of transfer of not used modules to a standby mode is applied to achievement of optimum efficiency of the UPS even during the work with small loadings in 93PS. When switching in the mode of double conversion of efficiency 93PS reaches more than 96%.
93PS it masshtabiruyetsya well. By means of modular structure, to opportunities of "hot" replacement and easy scaling, replacement and upgrade take less than ten minutes. At the same time the patented HotSync® technology allows to integrate up to four UPSes in a parallel system. The possibility of expansion of the UPS system as required allows to react to increase of loadings quickly.

The Eaton 9E UPS with double conversion of energy
The Eaton company began in February, 2015 sales of a series of uninterruptible power supply units with double conversion of energy. Eaton 9E combines universality of application with compact, rugged construction, is suitable for use in the field of medicine, information technologies and telecommunications. The line includes the 6, 10, 15 and 20 kVA models and is available to customers in EMEA region.
The electrical power factor of Eaton 9E makes 0.8 that allows them to provide a power supply for the bigger number of the equipment in comparison with the UPS of the previous generation with the same ultimate power. UPSes have the intuitive user interface with the LCD panel displaying on one screen information on an UPS status, loading value, battery power level, input and voltage output and frequency in real time.
For simplification of remote monitoring and management of the Eaton 9E UPS are equipped with the built-in ports USB and RS232. Communication opportunities of the UPS extend at the expense of additional cards of network and relay interfaces and also ModBus.
The full integration in any software environment is reached thanks to SOFTWARE Eaton Intelligent Power Software which is included in the UPS package. Software it is compatible to all basic operation systems and offers expanded integration with packets of management of virtualization VMware of VCenter and Microsoft Hyper-V.
The built-in bypass provides a continuous power supply of loading even at internal fault of the UPS. The service bypass allows to execute maintenance without interruption of power supply of responsible consumers.
Models with a rated power of 10 kVA support inputs of the combined configuration 1:1 and 3:1 also above. The battery life of all models can be increased, adding external battery modules. Eaton 9390 UPS
Eaton 9390 UPSes are designed on transformless technology using double conversion of voltage output. The efficiency of this UPS type reaches 94%, and reliability of the equipment allows to protect loading with the broadest range of power lines. 9390 low KNI, high input PF> 0.99 and existence of smooth start of the rectifier is with an obvious advantage of Eaton. Thanks to it all UPSes of series 9390 are perfectly compatible to diesel generators and do not create network noises.
Eaton Power Xpert 9395
Eaton Power Xpert 9395 is the solution of reservation of power supply integrated by the uniform body.
Eaton Power Xpert 9395 consists of two UPSes (power modules) 275 kVA everyone at the expense of what the built-in reservation according to scheme N+1 is provided.
The provided power range - from 225 to 1100 kVA.

Eaton Power Xpert 9395P UPS
On December 10, 2014 the Eaton company provided the Power Xpert 9395P UPS with reduced "total ownership cost" (TCO) developed on the basis of the previous model 9395, the transformless UPS.
Cumulative installed capacity of the UPS — 5 GVA. In new modification power is increased by 10% and for 18% heat release is reduced.
The UPS is focused on use in large DPCs, organizations of financial and banking sector, conforms to requirements for protection of the medical equipment, the security equipment, devices of technology control and telecommunication systems.
Advantages
The adaptive system of control of modules (VMMS) provides high efficiency at the low level of loading, both in single multimodular UPSes, and in parallel systems. It occurs by transfer of a part of power modules to the "sleeping" mode for optimization of level of loading, explained in the company. If the quality of entrance network meets requirements of loading, the system of conservation of energy of ESS allows to feed loading without double conversion, through a chain of a static bypass with the efficiency of 99%. Switching of the new UPS in the mode of double conversion happens less than for two milliseconds.
The technology of load distribution HotSync used in new version 9395P ensures safe functioning of the UPS due to synchronization in parallel of the connected power modules without the need for an additional communication channel for synchronization signal transmission. Besides, one static switch on all UPS provides instant switching of ultimate power to a bypass. In process of increase in loading it is possible to connect add-on power modules. UPS 9395P is suitable for long-term use at ambient temperature to 40 degrees Celsius without decrease in rated capacity.
The scalability and universality 9395P provides adaptivity of a system depending on qualifying standards on the power and extent of reservation by parallel connection to seven devices, even after their installation.

Eaton 93PM UPS
The Eaton company puts since fall of 2013 in production for Europe, the Middle East and EMEA modular three-phase UPSes with double conversion of energy. Eaton UPSes of series 93PM with a rated power of 30-200 kW have the highest efficiency in the market and also have flexibility. Thanks to a possibility of vertical and horizontal scaling engineers and managers of DPCs will be able easily and cost-efficient to plan, to expand and adapt a supply system depending on increase in loading and gain of requirements to reliability.
The flexibility of use of new UPSes 93PM is provided at the expense of their modular construction. It simply allows to expand and economically an electric power supply system at increase in loading, without requiring the additional area for placement. Such approach – "purchase as required" – considerably reduces capital costs. The patented technology of wireless parallel connection Hot Sync® from Eaton gives the chance to increase the total rated power of a system of uninterrupted power to 800 kW, thereby increasing availability quotient when preserving flexibility and reliability of power supply.
UPSes differ in low total ownership cost, giving to the user the chance to fully estimate high operational efficiency of the UPS due to application of a system of conservation of energy (Energy Saver System, ESS) from Eaton company. In the ESS mode at acceptable quality of the electric power in network the device automatically switches to a bypass, thereby increasing efficiency to 99%. In need of UPS 93PM instantly (during less than 2 m/s) passes into the mode of double conversion. In this case the indicator of efficiency reaches unsurpassed value of 97%, at the same time eliminating distortions of input voltage. Besides, new UPSes of series 93PM have electrical power factor 1.0 that gives to users the chance to increase effectiveness ratio of use of the electric power (PUE).
Thanks to the construction providing full access to the front panel, the UPS differs in the maximum convenience of placement. The innovative technology of thermal regulation with heat extraction from below up or in front allows to locate the UPS at a wall, back panels to each other back, and also in a row or to place them in a system with hot and cold corridors. Besides, access in front accelerates service and repair.
The Eaton company provided the simplest and convenient use of the new UPS. All devices are equipped with the intuitive touch display displaying necessary information on an UPS status as in a graphic, and digital form. Besides, new UPSes 93PM are equipped with the web interface for remote control and monitoring and also can be integrated into the automated control system for an object.

Eaton 9RH UPS
On October 3, 2012 the diversified industrial corporation Eaton announced release of the new uninterruptible power supply unit (UPSU) of Eaton 9PX. This next generation of energy saving UPSes, with power from 5 to 11 kVA, answering to requests of virtual environments of tomorrow. UPS 9RH is ideal for those heads of the enterprises and IT departments who are forced to work in the conditions of increase in energy costs. This UPS has the unsurpassed power density and high efficiency of use of energy.
Efficiency of modules UPSes in the mode of double conversion is 95%, in the highly effective mode – 98% with electrical power factor 0.9. It allows them to issue 28% more than the power in comparison with other UPSes of a similar class. Thus, UPS 9RH can successfully be used as to protection of the equipment in computer halls and the small data processing centers (DPC), and on large industrial, medical and other enterprises.
Devices are delivered or in the compact body for rack-mounting or in the body of tower type with power up to 5400 W (3U) and up to 10 kW (6U). The modern graphics LCD display provides detailed information on an UPS status and also provides a possibility of setup of a configuration, offering enhanced capabilities of management. The interface supports a set of languages, besides, the screen it is possible to incline at an angle 45 degrees for convenience of viewing. Provision is regulated how the device is used: in a rack or vertically. In the mode of double conversion of UPS 9RH exercises constant control of power and regulates tension and frequency for optimum control of characteristics.
Users can control energy consumption not only on the LCD display, but also by means of the Intelligent Power Software Suite program from Eaton company which is compatible to all basic operation systems and software. Thus, UPS 9RH is easily integrated with the virtualized computing environments, such as VMware vCenter, Microsoft HyperV, Citrix XEN and Red Hat KVM. Opportunities for integration are rather wide, they include: port USB, a serial port and the relay and also the slot for the optional network interface card.
For ensuring continuous work in case of problems with internal electronics, the Eaton company equipped UPS 9PX with redundant components and also the built-in automatic bypass with an autonomous supply circuit. On the HotSwap models the service bypass also allows to replace easily the UPS without power off of the crucial systems. Thanks to HotSync technology, the parallel system with reservation which provides reliable round-the-clock protection of power supply of responsible loadings is created. The HotSync technology can be also applied to creation of the scalable parallel systems considering a possibility of increase in power of the protected loading in the future.
The 5 kVA and 6 kVA models have control function by segments of loadings thanks to which it is possible to perform shutdown of the minor equipment and by that to increase time of battery reservation of crucial devices. Advanced Battery Management (ABM) is technology of Eaton company which includes the three-stage intellectual process of charging optimizing its duration. This technology eliminates an excess charge and constantly traces a battery status. Thanks to AVM, service life of batteries increases by 50%. Besides, users can increase battery life, by adding to 12 external battery modules supporting replacement during operation. As a result, if necessary, a system provides a power supply within several hours. All Eaton 9RH UPSes are delivered with a two-year guarantee which extends to all device, including batteries.
(3:1) offer series 9PX UPS model with a three-phase input and a single-phase exit three values of rated power – 6, 8 and 11 kVA – and are equipped with the service bypass simplifying replacement of power modules without shutdown of power supply of responsible loadings. They supplement already produced models with a single-phase input (1:1) with a rated power from 5 to 11 kVA.
The main feature of all Eaton 9PX series is the best efficiency in the market allowing users to reduce energy consumption and to cut down expenses on its payment. In the mode of double conversion it is provided with an efficiency up to 95%, and at acceptable quality of the electric power of network, in the highly effective mode, it increases up to 98%. Other important characteristic of new UPSes is the high power factor at the exit, equal 0.9. At the same time active power is 28% higher, than at the competing UPSes with a similar ultimate power.
For simpler management of the Eaton 9PX UPS are equipped with the large graphics LCD display displaying information on operating condition in real time and allowing to analyze easily data and to configure settings. Besides, the UPS management system in the mode of double conversion continuously keeps track of quality of the electric power in network and performs switching in other operation modes for optimal power supply.
The software of Intelligent Power Manager giving additional opportunities of remote monitoring is included in the standard delivery of all Eaton 9RH UPSes. Software of Intelligent Power Manager it is compatible to popular operating systems and software of virtualization that allows the UPS to be integrated into such virtual environments as VMware vCenter, Microsoft HyperV, Citrix XEN and Red Hat KVM easily.
All UPSes of series 9PX differ in exclusive compactness. It concerns also the new models having a form factor 6U. All UPS models can be installed separately (tower configuration) or take place horizontally in a hardware rack with the help of an optional set for installation.
