Gunnebo SpeedStile ACS of the BP DS and FP DS series

Product
Developers: Gunnebo
Last Release Date: February, 2015
Technology: ACS - Control and management systems for access

The premium line of tourniquets of Gunnebo company was filled up in February, 2015 by models with sliding transparent shutters of SpeedStile of the BP DS and FP DS series which differ among themselves with design of their execution. New automatic tourniquets allow to regulate movement of people in both directions as it is autonomous, and in composition of access control of an object, are delivered in modifications with chatter-free width of 550 mm or 900 mm and provide capacity to 40 people a minute. Besides, SpeedStile allow to select an operation mode without closing of shutters after each pass that significantly increases capacity of an automatic checkpoint.

Ergonomic design of the SpeedStile BP/FP DS body with a modern form of racks and a set of options of their finishing allow to use these tourniquets for zones through passage on objects with different concepts of a design of an interior. So, automatic tourniquets can be delivered with the side bars colored in the most suitable color or with drawing the coverings imitating a tree or any other material, and the design of covers and end faces is selected individually. For expansion of functionality new automatic devices can be retrofitted by LED pointers, the accumulator of back supply, the digital counter of passes, the card reader and the system of remote control.

The main difference between devices of the BP DS and FP DS series consists performed by their shutters. So, tourniquets of a series of BP are delivered with shutters of triangular shape which are executed of 15 mm of acrylic, and the FP models are completed with rectangular shutters from the tempered shock-resistant glass 12 mm thick and 1200 or 1800 mm high thanks to what these automatic tourniquets completely "block" a pass zone, excepting different options of unauthorized penetration. The movement of automatic shutters and their exact positioning is performed using motorized drives which are managed by the separate microprocessor block.

The IR sensors which are built in tourniquets and intelligent system of information processing provide detection of people in zones between racks that excludes closing of shutters at the time of their pass. Besides, the functionality of SpeedStile BP/FP DS allows to organize free pass through automatic tourniquets of big flows of the people following one after another without closing of shutters after everyone that considerably increases capacity. However in pass attempt closely of two and more people and also at oncoming traffic, new automatic devices activate the disturbing signaling which is built in them and notify on pass prohibition. It should be noted that the speed of opening and closing of shutters of SpeedStile FLS is regulated individually.

The operation algorithm of new products is the configured setting and is selected from two options: normal and open (H/O) and normal closed (N/Z), depending on requirements to security of an object. During the work in the normal and open mode automatic tourniquets provide an average time between failures 3 million cycles, and during the work in the normal closed mode — 2 million. For informing people on possible actions and a current status new automatic models of the DS series have several different LED pointers on the body, including "green card", "a green arrow", "a red cross". All LED indicators can be supported by optional illumination on the body of racks.

The original electronic control units developed by engineers of Gunnebo do tourniquets of SpeedStile of the BP/FP DS series compatible practically with any control systems of access. It simplifies their integration into entrance groups of already functioning objects and allows to put the equipment of the ACS of different producers at design of the new systems. Depending on type of the used reader devices and the selected operation mode automatic tourniquets provide rather high capacity reaching 40 people a minute. At the same time each lineup allows to create automatic checkpoints with chatter-free width of 550 mm or 900 mm which conform to requirements for movement of physically disabled people.
