"Em-Si Baukhemi" completed audit of license purity on products of Microsoft

On February 24, 2015 the Russian representative office of concern MC Bauchemie announced completion of license audit and conclusion of an agreement on delivery of the software of Microsoft with participation of Comparex company. Delivery of licenses is implemented within the three-year corporate agreement of Microsoft Enterprise Agreement Subscription (EAS).

Project Tasks

In the course of primary activity the company uses the software Microsoft: Windows Office Windows Server SQL System Center the computer park of the company contains 250 PCs.

Accounting of POE assets took a lot of time and did not provide a guarantee of license purity. In this connection the company management set the object to buy software and to implement effective management of software licenses.

"For us it is important to be sure of the most rational use of the available software products and at the same time to have a possibility of accurate financial planning of the budget. Therefore we invited specialists of Comparex company for selection of the scheme of licensing, optimal for us, and management of software of Microsoft", - Alexander Kruglov, the head of department of IT of company MC Bauchemie noted.

Project Progress

At the initial stage specialists of Comparex analyzed data on the software of Microsoft set in the company. The software was analyzed regarding the one by whom and as it is used. Then the available licensing rights were compared with results of inventory taking into account all rules of use of the software. As a result of the carried-out SAM audit company MC Bauchemie received not only relevant license balance, but also the recommendations about effective purchase planning and use of the software.

"We offered policy of Open Book Pricing, open pricing which allows to reveal the best purchase price of necessary licenses at the moment and also to optimize costs by reduction of the commission of the supplier due to increase in volume", - Leonid Shevchenko, the senior client manager of Comparex said.

Project Results

On the basis of these data the IT company management signed the contract for corporate licensing of Microsoft Enterprise Agreement Subscription (EAS).

According to the signed contract, MC Bauchemie should license all software of Microsoft: operating systems, office applications, server products, client applications.
