MC Square and DANI Group automated illumination of Astana Arena stadium

The MC Square system integrator and lighting company "DANI Group" developed the project of the systems of automatic equipment and management of illumination of Astana Arena stadium and carried out commissioning. The project is executed on the basis of programmable logic controllers of the Swiss company Saia-Burgess Controls and control devices of the Austrian company "Tridonik".

The management system for lighting of the sporting venue is created based on the digital DALI protocol. Dynamic scenarios which can be built in a certain sequence, with a possibility of manual and automatic control on time are created. Technical solution allowed to arrange lighting under types of matches, at the same time having reduced energy consumption and having increased the illumination of one of the world's largest sports constructions with a sliding roof. The stadium in the city of Astana, the capital of Kazakhstan, accomodates 30,000 viewers, has the sliding system of a roof of 10,000 sq.m. The sports construction is used not only for football matches, but also for culturally - mass actions.

The new lighting solution allowed to give a lighting system of the sporting venue according to requirements of FIFA and UEFA international associations.
