The Bolshoi Theatre implemented no break power supply system

On February 25, 2015 the Eaton company announced project completion of providing with uninterrupted power supply PWC (production and warehouse complex) of the Bolshoi Theatre^[1].

Project Tasks

Within global reconstruction of the main building of the Bolshoi Theatre and PSK relating to it there was a need of creation of no break power supply system, for ensuring stable operation of the automated PSK equipment equipped with a number of the modern equipment: 3D - the plotters automated by machines and so on.

Object needed full redundancy of the engineering systems, their key components. Reservation gives the chance of conducting scheduled and repair work without interruption of production processes that in turn helps to avoid temporary and production costs.

Project Progress

Within the draft decision of these tasks, Eaton 9355 UPSes with power from 10 to 40 kVA, the 225 - 300 kVA Eaton PowerXpert 9395 models are installed in the PSK administrative and production body.

Project Result

Stable work of the electrofeeding system on the Eaton UPS platform helps to avoid failures, provides the maximum quality by production of unique exhibits of theater, guarantees reliable storage of the valuable detail in the premises saturated with nitrogen.
