Voentelecom it is uncontested selected Oracle for the billing

At the end of February, 2015 Voentelecom published a request ^[1] on execution of works on installation and setup of an automated billing system. A system is intended for automation of settlings with users of communication services and also for information support of carrying out settlement between telecom operators and preprocessing of an original informatin about the rendered services, said in terms of reference on the project.

A system should provide registration and accounting of users of telecom services of Voentelecom, tariffing and calculation of cost of the rendered services, registration, accounting and control of payments, and some other functions.

Among services, calculations for which a system – services of local, intercity and international telephone communication will allow to automate, a mobile radio communication, including satellite,telematic communication services, communication for cable, on-air broadcasting, etc.

On implementation of an automated billing system Voentelecom took away 180 days

In requirements to a system it is specified that it should be expected information processing about the rendered services not less than 40 thousand subscribers.

Project works include delivery of the server hardware and DBMS and also installation and setup of a settlement system. As DBMS, according to terms of reference,Oracle Database 11g DBMS should be used. In terms of reference it is also specified that the contractor of the project should have the status of the "golden" partner of Oracle.

As OS of computing resources on which a system will be based OS Oracle Linux, RedHat and CentOS are specified.
