Connected Traffic Cloud is a cloud platform for creation of the open ecosystem increasing traffic safety.
On March 2, 2015 the Ericsson company provided a cloud platform of Connected Traffic Cloud using which suggests to increase security and to organize more effectively traffic flows.
The platform provides in real time data exchange about a road situation to transport connected to it and police services.
Channels of informing drivers as of March, 2015 are traditional:
- means of the organization of traffic are signs and pointers,
- messages on information displays
- radio communication.
Ericsson believes that Connected Traffic Cloud will help to broadcast up-to-date information with a binding to location on meter panels of cars. Besides, in the presence of the corresponding permission from drivers, Connected Traffic Cloud will allow civil services to collect and analyze in real time data from the connected transport and devices.
Ericsson regards start of Connected Traffic Cloud as a step to formation of an open ecosystem of data exchange for improvement of a situation on roads and increases in traffic safety.
