March 4, 2015. The HP company announced creation of infrastructure of virtualization of Telefónica Virtualization Infrastructure (UNICA project). Telefónica implemented the complex OpenNFV HP platform which includes servers, the software, means of the orchestration and network solutions, technology of HP Helion OpenStack of an operator class and different services.
"For Telefonica the UNICA project is an opportunity to lift a level of customer service quality to new level. Thanks to HP we will be able not only to find new methods of deployment of networks, but also in a new way to unroll services in a cloud" — Enrique Blanco, the global Chief information officer of Telefónica says.
