Business tablet of Sberbank

Last year Sberbank completed the project of testing of the new product – the business tablet for corporate clients – and now prepares for its commercial start, the senior vice president of Sberbank for development of digital business Victor Orlovsky in March, 2015 told TAdviser.

According to Oryol, in the pilot mode the business tablet was used by about 1 thousand clients of Sberbank belonging to small business and micro business. Within the pilot they received these devices free of charge.

As a hardware platform for the solution the Samsung tablet was used. It included several functional modules. One of them – the "business payment" intended for payment acceptance from clients on bank cards. For this purpose the special device for reading cards and the mobile printer of checks was applied to the tablet.

In some cases the pilot business tablet was integrated with experimental service of the Federal Tax Service (FTS), the so-called cloud cash desk started in August, 2014. This service sends information on cash transactions at once in electronic form to the database of tax authorities.

Other modules of the business tablet included a personal account for accounting, pre-installed applications "Sberbank Online", "Sberbank Business Online" and a personal account of "The business environment". Together with MightyCall company – the developer of cloud software for the organization of contact center, to users of business tablet also offered service of setup of contact center.

According to Victor Orlovsky, in the commercial version of the business tablet it is going to use newer and more advanced applications and also a new hardware platform. What, in bank do not call yet, noting that concerning it negotiations with the producer are conducted.

The business tablet through departments of Sberbank will be on sale. The expected sales volumes of a new product in bank do not open. Victor Orlovsky notes only that Sberbank has business objectives on this project and "rather aggressive planning". As of March, 2015 in bank there is a discussion how to bring the business tablet to the market, he added. The price of future device, as well as exact terms of an output it on the market in Sberbank were also preferred not to be disclosed yet. According to Orlovsky, it is going to start the business tablet in sale during 2015.
