AXELOT automated a warehouse of Karmin LLC company

March 12, 2015. The AXELOT company reported^[1] about completion of automation of a warehouse of Karmin LLC, on a bouza of the solution "1C: WMS".

Choosing a Solution

The warehouse of the company in the city of Mytishchi has the area of 5000 sq.m. The quantity of active product names reaches 7000, storage is performed on rack type. The decision on implementation of WMS was caused by lack of the automation system in this warehouse. For implementation the 1C: WMS software product having, according to the client, the most modern functionality which satisfies to all requirements of the company was selected. The available cost of software and its open program code became other important selection terms.

As the contractor of the project the AXELOT company, the 1C: WMS developer and one of market leaders of services in automation of the enterprises was selected. The choice of the contractor was influenced by the available cost of services, extensive experience of project implementation and also the quality management system of the implemented products which is available in AXELOT.

Project Progress

In the project progress 5 stationary and 15 mobile jobs were created, radio data collection terminals of Motorola 3190 are set. Besides, specialists of AXELOT together with IT department of Karmin company made integration of "1C: WMS" with a corporate information system.

One of features of work of a warehouse is the lack of barcodes for 80% of goods items. The project team of AXELOT together with IT department Carmine managed to develop the new functionality of the WMS system expected carrying out inventory without input of shrikhkod.

One more feature of a warehouse – existence of products which arrive directly from the manufacturing plants. For reservation and shipment of similar orders specialists of AXELOT also developed additional functionality. Changes were made and in the functionality providing goods acceptance – in a warehouse it is always performed in a complex with placement now.

Result

Emergence of effective storage system of goods became result of implementation of "1C: WMS" in a warehouse of Karmin company. Accuracy of an inventory control is increased by 30%, the speed of accomplishment of all warehouse transactions is increased by 20%. The efficiency of personnel increased, the quantity of the errors caused by "a human factor" is reduced.
