History

1920: Creation of the company

Traditions of the university have powerful roots and sources. 60 years ago the history of future Siberian state university of physical culture began. For the first time the institute of physical culture in Siberia was created at the initiative of the follower P.F. Lesgaft of professor A.S. Pirussky in Tomsk (1920), but existed only till 1923 owing to economic difficulties of that time. The absence of the educational institution training highly qualified personnel on physical culture and sport in such large territory of the country as Siberia lasted not for long. In the 30-40th years in a number of the cities of the Siberian region (Novosibirsk, Krasnoyarsk, Irkutsk) technical schools of physical culture, in particular in Omsk - in 1945 based on high school No. 66 were created (M.A. Kuznetsov is appointed the first director). In 5 years No. 164 of April 27, 1950 according to the order of Council of Ministers of RSFSR of April 21, 1950 No. 1046-r it was transformed by the order of Committee on affairs of physical culture and sport at Council of Ministers of RSFSR to the Omsk state institute of physical culture, and since September of the same year studies in young university began. They were started by 100 young men and girls, about a half of them - graduates of technical school of physical culture.

1934

The building for new university built in 1934 and intending under club was not adapted for occupations: in it there were no gyms and audiences.

All weight of works on reorganization of institute laid down on shoulders of students and teachers. There were halls of gymnastics, fight, boxing, fencing, sports, cycle base, premises for laboratories, workshops, garages. Most of teachers had no work experience in university: they just graduated from the institutes of physical culture.

1953

After the end of study in GTSOLIFKE L.I. Nozhkin, V.F. Gromyko, A.A. Makarov worked at department of skiing; sports - N.N. Nigachev, B.A. Balyaev, V.I. Kukushkin, A.G. Stryukova; gymnastics - E.P. Rezunov, F.B. Vorovich, V.K. Filippov, A.M. Dikunov, Kovesnikov' couple and N.D. Ryabkov; fencing N.S. Trubin, swimming - G.G. Tretiak taught, track and field athletics - G. Makarova. In 1953 to the Omsk GIFK there arrived the next group of young teachers: from GDOIFKA of P.F. Lesgaft - Zhuchkova's spouses (he is thrower-athlete, she is a skater) and the hockey player V.P. Voronov; from Kiev - athletes O. Kobranov and V. Zaporozhanov; basketball players are Elistratova's spouses; GTSOLIFKA - gymnasts V.N. Golubev and Yu.A. Dmitriyev and also the graduate of the Leningrad university the teacher of a foreign language E.P. Nikolaeva (Larionova). As a result of the company on fight against cosmopolitism in 1950 D.D. Donskoy was banished to Omsk. The versatile athlete, the passionate skier, the scientist - the author of many articles, monographs and textbooks on biomechanics, he was the first candidate of science and the founder of research work at institute.

D.D. Donskoy enjoyed great love at students and huge respect at teachers. He visited all competitions held at institute, especially on cross-country skiing quite often taking in them part. Taught a lecture course of human anatomy, and gave practical lessons in the anatomic museum. The activity made an invaluable contribution to development and formation OGIFKA. Thus, graduates and specialists of three leading sports universities of the country who formed the strong teaching collective capable to solve problems of training of highly qualified specialists for the sports movement in the country gathered in Omsk. We with deep respect and heartfelt gratitude remember. I.A. Manuylova - the person of encyclopedic knowledge, the first in institute of the doctor of science, head of the department of physiology, at students - favourite professor; associate professor S.D. Dobrosmyslov - the head of the department of pedagogics; teacher of chemistry A.I. Syskova; manager of LFK department E.Ya. Elpedinskaya; associate professor G.S. Demetra; head of the department of boxing S.I. Dudov; teacher of political economy, associate professor F.D. Momot, associate professor of anatomy P.A. Olfert; G.P. Gorenkova (Sokolova) who created original school of rhythmic gymnastics; Yu.Ya. Sapozhnikova - the organizer of the Omsk school of Greco-Roman wrestling.

1965

Many managers of departments, heads of divisions, teachers are pupils of the university. A way from the laboratory assistant to professor, doctors of science there passed in walls of academy A.M. Dikunov, E.A. Mazonko. V.K. Balsevich who enclosed a lot of work in creation of department of biomechanics came to department of track and field athletics the teacher and headed it from the date of the basis within 16 years, in the organization of problem research laboratory of age pedagogics of sport, was her research supervisor. Since 1965 began pedagogical activity and the participant of the Great Patriotic War the doctor of pedagogical sciences, professor Yu.P. Simakov devoted all the life to university. Many students of the first releases headed afterwards important sectors of work at institute: Yu.Ya. Tesman is the department chair of track and field athletics; L.N. Kochergov is the department chair of the theory of physical training, the vice rector for correspondence department; V.A. Silivanovich is the department chair of bicycle sport; O.P. Krikoryants is the department chair of fencing; V.V. Gromyko is a rector, etc.

Surveying the way passed by academy, it is necessary to tell improvement of educational process, training of highly qualified specialists, enhancement of nice scientific and sports traditions about her heads who made a lot of things for strengthening of material resources, about many of them it would be possible to write the book. We will just make their decent deposit to affairs of university.

1950 - 1955

Victor Grigoryevich Golovlev was appointed the first director of institute (1950 - 1955) who in pre-war time was one of the strongest athletes of Siberia. He put a lot of effort and showed remarkable managerials ability to prove to local and central governing bodies need of opening of institute in Omsk.

1955 - 1964

V.G. Golovlev was succeeded by Nikolay Yakovlevich Bogdanov (1955 - 1964). N.Ya. Bogdanov's activity on a post of the rector was remembered by the beginning of construction of new base of institute and hostels.

1964 - 1972

The new rector - Anatoly Dormidontovich Chistyakov (1964 - 1972), the former secretary of the Omsk regional committee of a batch, the big organizer, the person of rare sincere qualities completed the construction of the first stage. At it most departments moved to the new body. Purposeful, rhythmical work began. On new base fighters prepared - to them built the new hall. Swimmers received the Olympic pool Albatross. Students began to live in the good hostel.

1972 - 1981

To replace A.D. Chistyakov Vasily Viktorovich Gromyko (1972 - 1981) - initiative, extraordinary hardworking, aware, tough and ambitious head came. At him construction of big economy of institute was finished, reforms began. It left about itself(himself) many "monuments", and one of them - "a winter garden" with gym.

1981 - 1987

The subsequent rectors - Nikolay Dmitrievich Shirochenno (1981 - 1987), Dmitry Vdadimirovich Maystrishin (1987 - 1991), the current rector Vladimir Ivanovich Mikhalev added the pages to the history of institute - academies - the university. Over the years grew, the pedagogical skill of teachers was improved, achievements in scientific work appeared, departments, uchebno - sports base became stronger and extended, the new directions and specialties opened.

1994

According to the order of the State committee of the Russian Federation on the higher education No. 554 of June 7, 1994 OGIFK is renamed into the Siberian state academy of physical culture (SIBGAFK). Year of physical culture, the 2000th for the Siberian state academy, was anniversary. The academy was 50 years old.

2003

Since 2003 the new historical report of time began. SIBGAFK is renamed by the order of the State committee of the Russian Federation on physical culture and sport No. 102 of February 26, 2003 into the Siberian state university of physical culture and sport (SIBGUFK). What filled these years what mark was left in souls of those who learned and who was taught? For SIBGUFK it is time it was generous on events - bright and common, joyful and sad. But good there was more, SIBGUFK today - the large training, scientific, sports, methodical center performing multilevel training, retraining and advanced training of specialists in the field of physical culture and sport. His graduates can be met not only in the Urals, in Siberia and in the Far East, but also in villages and the cities of the European part of Russia. They successfully work at schools, technical schools, universities and the different sports organizations.

In 60 years of activity of the university diplomas were gained by more than 32 thousand specialists among whom there are over 40 champions and prize-winners of the Olympic Games, 275 honored trainers there are countries, more than 115 honored workers of physical culture of Russia.

The collective of SIBGUFK constantly improves the system of training of specialists that allowed the university to prove the viability and to gain authority in the field of sports education on our country and abroad.

2010

Following requirements of time, the management of the university tries to realize most fully the educational and scientific potential of university. At the university new specialties which are demanded in labor market open. Today the university trains the personnel on 4 levels of professional education: 1 direction of preparation is implemented within secondary professional education, 15 directions of preparation are performed within a bachelor degree and a magistracy of higher education, in 6 directions of higher education training of the top skills is conducted. So, the university implements the main educational programs of secondary professional education for specialties since 2010: 050141.52 "Physical culture", 050142.52 "Adaptive physical culture". The university enables the realization of the main educational programs for the directions of training of bachelors:

• 034400 "Physical culture for persons with deviations in the state of health (adaptive physical culture);
• 034600 "Recreation and sports tourism";
• 031600 "Advertizing and public relations";
• 040700 "Organization of work with youth";

• 071400 "Direction of the dramatized representations and holidays";

• 100400 Tourism.

Thus, now the university provides implementation of the main educational programs of the higher education for 7 enlarged groups of specialties and the directions of preparation (UGSN). In the direction of preparation 034400.68 Physical culture are implemented 13 profiles of a magistracy:

• training of highly skilled athletes in technical and esthetic sports (the research supervisor, professor Kravchuk A.I.);
• training of highly skilled athletes in sports (the research supervisor, professor Lalakov G.S.);
• training of highly skilled athletes martial artists (research supervisor, Heavy G.M. professor);
• psychological maintenance of physical culture (research supervisor, professor Grandmother's G.D.);
• professional education in the field of physical culture and sport (the research supervisor, professor Kostikhina N.M.);
• medicobiological maintenance of physical culture and sport (research supervisor, professor Kurtev S. G.);
• medicobiological maintenance of elite sport (research supervisor, professor Koryagina Yu.V.);
• medicobiological maintenance of sport for children and young people (research supervisor, professor Kharitonova L.G.);
• management and legal support of activity of the sports and sports organizations (research supervisor, professor Dormidontova L. S.);
• scientific and methodical providing physical culture and sport (research supervisor, professor Mountain I.Yu.)
• theory and technique of improving and rekreativny physical culture (research supervisor, professor Shulpina V. P.);
• theory of physical culture and technology of sports education (research supervisor, professor Grechko A. S.).

2011 - 2012

Besides, in a magistracy preparation in the directions of preparation is conducted: since 2011 - 034400.68 "Physical culture for persons with deviations in the state of health (adaptive physical culture)" and since 2012 – 034500.68 Sport. At the university programs of training of research and educational personnel of the top skills for specialties of a postgraduate study are implemented:

• 0/13/04 "Theory and technique of physical training, sports training, improving and adaptive physical culture";
• 0/13/08 "Theory and technique of professional education";

The university of physical culture and sport is 4 educational faculties, 20 departments, research institute of human activity in extreme conditions, faculty of additional professional education, a postgraduate study, doctoral studies, council for protection of theses, the historical and sports museum, the higher school of trainers and other divisions and auxiliary services. The university locates sufficient educational and sports base which part are: the complex swimming center, a track and field athletics arena, stadium with the football field, racetracks and sectors, 25 gyms, audiences and laboratories equipped with technical means of training. To services of students and teachers modern library which represents the uniform information complex equipped with modern technical and software tools, and locating the richest book, newspaper and journal fund.

Teaching and educational process 195 teachers, from them provide 27 doctors of science and professors, 125 candidates of science and associate professors.

Thanks to the qualified faculty, rich scientific potential university graduates are always demanded and adequately prove in different spheres of a social and economic complex of the country.
