MegaFon will continue to provide communication services to the Northeast federal university

In the summer of 2016 MegaFon won tender for provision of services of communication for the Northeast Federal University (NFU). According to the signed contract, the operator provided the fixed Internet access to employees, teachers and students at a speed of 750 Mbps.

MegaFon provided the fixed Internet access on an alternative channel of communication for the largest higher educational institution of Yakutia with a speed of 750 Mbps. Existence of the developed communications infrastructure and also the advantageous tariff offer ensured to the operator a victory in tender.

"For the purpose of ensuring educational process with high-quality access to worldwide network, university in the current year increased width of an Internet channel from 1 to 1.5 Gbps. Based on the SVFU auction signed the agreement on providing a reserve Internet channel with MegaFon company. The operator is a guarantor of a high-quality communication with the developed infrastructure. It should be noted that for employees and students of university MegaFon offers a special corporate rate for use of cellular communication", - Pyotr Ivanov, the director of the department of informatization – the vice rector for informatization of SVFU noted.

2015

On March 18, 2015 the MegaFon company announced provision of services of the fixed Internet access for the Northeast federal university of M.K. Ammosov. Under the terms of the contract the operator provided to a higher educational institution of the Sakha (Yakutia) Republic an alternative channel for access to a global network to speed not less than 200 Mbps. The victory in an auction to the operator was ensured by existence of the developed communications infrastructure in the region and the advantageous tariff offer.
