MultiClet R1 is the processor on the basis of a post-neymanovskoy of architecture (MIMD architecture).

According to the statements of developers, the multicellular architecture provides 4-5-fold performance at tenfold decrease in energy consumption, at the same time they do not specify subjects of comparison.

According to the classification admitted to the companies, R1 belongs to dynamically reconfigurable processors capable to change the configuration according to the algorithm offered by the user without stopping and restart. Dynamically reconfigurable processors are known in the market - programmable arrays (FPGA) belong to them, but in the company insist: R1 represents a new class of this kind of processors.

For work of programmers with computers on the basis of the MultiClet R1 processor the software set is created:

• assembler,
• compiler of language C,
• real-time operating system of RTOS,
• MC-DBG plug-in for work in the Geany development environment,
• libraries for work with peripheral devices,
• link editor, function model, etc.

2015

MultiClet R1 arrived for testing

On March 20, 2015 the Ekaterinburg company "MultiClet" announced physical emergence of the first batch of the "multicellular" R1 processors maintaining parallelism of calculations and plurality of flows of instructions and data (MIMD architecture).

Developers believe - their processors can find application in the enterprises of a common industrial and radio engineering profile, space industry. Especially perspective they consider use of multicellular processors in supercomputer systems, in connection with their low power consumption.

The approximate need for the processors the company creator estimates at 50-500 thousand units a year. The previous development of Multiklet according to representatives of the company is sold in number of less than 10 thousand pieces.

The present trial batch of MultiClet R1 of 1 thousand pieces, is manufactured at the plants in Malaysia and South Korea, she will be given perspective customers as samples for testing and assessment of needs for such processors.
