Lantech 8-port switches of the IPES-5408T series

Line of network equipment of Lantech company industrial 8-port switches of the IPES-5408T series which are intended for creation of failsafe network infrastructure of a video surveillance system, of access control filled up in the spring of 2015 and/or automatic equipment and are efficient in adverse conditions in the temperature range from-40 to +75 °C. The switch IP67, street with extent of climatic protection, and model with IP43 enters a new series, each of which is equipped with M12 connectors, 8 30 W PoE-injectors and disturbing inputs and outputs of DIDO. It is important to note that on all street network equipment of Lantech the 5-year guarantee of the producer is provided.

Compliance of IPES-5408T to industry standards EN50155 and EN45545-2 allows to operate these switches not only in premises and on the street, but also by railway trains to which special requirements for vibration resistance are imposed. In particular, each switch street this series is equipped with the hermetic M12 connectors providing a rigid and reliable joint of cables for work in the conditions of strong vibrations. Thanks to it, even permanent vibrations at the movement of the train will not lead to separation of equipment cables of street switching devices.

For connection of the terminal equipment new switches are supplied with 8 electric ports 10/100TX and 4 Uplink-ports of 10/100/1000 Mbps with support of Auto-MDI/MDI-X which allow to create local networks of more difficult topology. As well as other network equipment of Lantech, the switch street it is expected work in networks with topology a ring, a dual ring, a chain, etc. and also provides fast failure detection, finding of a reserve way of data transmission and selfrecovery of street network after failure less than for 20 ms at consolidation in a ring up to 256 network devices.

Reliable protection of IPES-5408T against atmospheric actions, vibrations, differences of tension and electromagnetic interferences, allows to use new industrial switches for the organization of failsafe network infrastructure on objects with extreme conditions. From devices of a new series it is worth selecting the switch street with IP67 which does not require additional protection and steadily functions not only at hit on it of water jets, but also at short-term immersion in water. At the same time all street models of the IPES-5408T series are efficient in the temperature range from-40 to +75 °C.

A power supply of the connected peripheral devices provides the new switch through 8 PoE-injectors with the budget of the power of 240 W, i.e. on 30 W on each port for High PoE technology (IEEE 802.3af/at). Thanks to it, via the switch street it is possible to power the equipment of video surveillance, access control and engineering automatic equipment with the increased energy consumption, for example, outdoor rotary cameras. Moreover, IPES-5408T is capable to supply of IP devices on in advance prepared schedule, and when using the PoE detection function — to trace and power only active street IP devices.

For protection against unauthorized actions the Lantech switches are equipped with a digital input and an exit (DIDO) by means of which they transmit alarms at failure of any port, detection of interruptions of power supply of terminal units or approach of other events of alarm. For constant control of working temperature, voltage and other important technical parameters the switch street uses the system of self-diagnostics Environmental Monitoring. Besides, each street device of the IPES-5408T series supports PTP v2 IEEE1588 protocol for time synchronization on 4 gigabit ports, and with a precision accuracy.
