In a product line of Smartec for control systems of access there were in March, 2015 ST-LC300 RFID cards which are equipped with the ultrahigh-frequency (UHF) chip and are intended for joint work with the UHF readers Smartec ST-LR300. Basic purpose of new products – distant identification of motor transport at distances up to 10 meters from the reader and also people by the hands free method. As well as other RFID identifying, new cards of Smartec have the standard sizes and can be personalized on the thermosublimation printer. Besides, these devices of distant identification have the unique code for increased security and their protection against possible counterfeits.
Main advantage of ultrahigh-frequency RFID cards is that they on sending range of the code considerably exceed the cards working in the ranges of LF (125-134 kHz) and HF (13.56 MHz) which Proximity, Smart, etc. treat. When using ST-LC300 distant identification of people and vehicles in a radius about 10 meters from an installation site of the reader device therefore employees do not need to execute any manipulations at drive/pass through control points is possible. In addition to problems of remote identification, the UHF technology allows to implement simultaneous reading of a large number of cards.
When using the ST-LC300 cards together with the ultrahigh-frequency reader devices ST-LR300 of the Smartec brand the customer receives a full-fledged control and management system for access for effective identification of cars and people by the principle of Hands Free. Because ST-LR300 is equipped with the high-performance radio chip with the improved filtering of radio signals and the highly sensitive antenna with circular polarization, distant identification of the passive ST-LC300 UHF cards at distance up to 10 meters is provided even if cards are in bags, pockets, etc.
Protection of the ST-LC300 card against counterfeit and cloning is implemented based on the Alien H3 UHF chip. His memory is logically separated into two parts — user and factory in which by production the unique identification code protected from copying and rewriting registers. Thanks to existence of the unique code of the chip, distant identification of cards in the ACS is performed with rather high level of security. For programming of the user part of memory of ST-LC300 it is recommended to use the reader Smartec ST-CE310LR which can also execute automatic data entry from cards of distant identification in different software applications and databases.
ST-LC300 are calculated for work at external temperatures from -50 °C to +85 °C and relative air humidity up to 90% including in premises with aggressive environments as they are made of high-strength and chemically inert plastic, have high mechanical strength, are steady against bends, blows, are not afraid of moisture and pollution. Thanks to it, distant identification of the ST-LC300 cards is possible in different external conditions. It should be noted that new cards can be personalized using special thermosublimation printers or using the printed stickers.
